@@RottenBuick genuinely look how far you have brought it in that short amount of time, you should give yourself a lot of credit because you deserve it.
You've proven to the world that you can do ANY car project that you dream up in your head. As rusty as Christine was I thought you had your work cut out for you for the next couple of years, But you work very efficiently and did this much in record time. Darnell would be so proud of you. But now you've got to be cautious since you got her running. She may start fixing herself. If you come in and the car is all shiny red and there's still a crack in the windshield, beware she is gonna start killing people. As far as I am concerned you are a hero in my book. A really talented guy. Thanks for sharing with us.
Awesome to see the car moving under its own power!! What a progress in such a short time! Kudos my friend! I really loved to see the work on the steering column. Keep up the good work and keep posting the beautiful videos!! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱!!
It’s a great feeling when you create something and actually works. I got the same tranny on my 41’Pontiac but I modified the original shifter. Awesome job you are doing.
So great to see Christine up and running! It's such an amazing early Christmas gift to see this incredible progress. Congratulations for all the hard work and dedication you've put into this! I’m sure even more exciting things are on the way
So you can say at 33:51 the car was besides its self for the first time. CHRISTINE LIVES AGAIN. Funny thing is I'm not even there & I wanted to say WE DID IT. LOL LOL LOL LOL
Hmmm, great work but you should talk to that guy who put a 57 Chevy body on a Dodge Challenger chassis and work something out😁. Love the body style, my first car in 1970 was a 57 Chrysler New Yorker 2 dr. 392 and a push button trans! I was 16
I only started watching your channel this year when you started the Christine build. I've seen every one of the 22 parts and realized that I don't even know your name. So i went back and watched some of your early videos (11-12 years ago). But I never could find one where you introduced yourself.
Oh, mate! One serious win, there! A supreme :Woohoo!!" moment, for sure! That has GOT to feel good.....and good on ya for persevering and getting the old girl to this point. Sure - she's got some fabrication to go and the wiring, interior and all the rest, but you can now at least move her around under her own power instead of yours! Rapt out my tree for you - really I am! All the very best.
It even sounds like CHRISTINE when it went to Darnell's 😂 and he said that's the last time that Mechanical A Hole runs in here without a Exhaust Hose 😂
You know, i think the R4-200 has the overdrive link to drive. I pretty sure there is drive (4speed), with D1, D2. I’ve been looking at them in place of a 700R4 for my turbo-hydromatic 350 in my 1970 C-10.
Now we know why you are restoring a Christine. You were that type of kid who color out the lines. You marked some lines & cut the metal without following the lines true REBEL.
Oh that's so cool it's alive,it's alive, yeah I can hear them to those who think there's only one way to build those cars .You what who's car is it not mine not there's it's yours and I respect that but this is way to cool, the best part is your using what you have and what you can afford to purchase, that's how it all started a million years ago,use what you have and ask dad for a lone lol love this build man keep it up God bless and peace out
The Original 58, ( His) didn't have the push button transmission dashboard control in the first place, it was originally a Standard Transmission Car...
Interesting project!,Right now the exhaust sounds just like Christine's when Arnie first drove her into Darnell's Garage. Are you planning on swapping for another engine?.
This thing is coming along sweet.Might be just me but the rear wheels look too far forward. I dont think moving the wheel wells on the quarter panels is gonna work. Reason being the wheel base looks shorter i know you said the caprice wheel base is 2" shorter and doesnt seem like it would make that much difference. The wheel base just looks more than 2" shorter great job the its turning out good.
Some of us spend years getting this far along, nice job man 🤘🏻
One million percent! Speed build this one😎
TH-cam keeps me motivated.
2020 pile of rust- 2024 running, driving and LIVING again, you sir are a magician.
I’ve only had it a little over a year. 😬

Definitely not bored,i enjoy all your content, following along for the 59 buick too you did a great job on the floors.@@RottenBuick
I’ve got more builds planned in the future and we have tons and tons of Plymouth progress to make.
Wow - terrific progress.
Thanks
Such a cool project. I have loved watching this thing come together
you're ammazing when I started watching I thought its gonna need a year or so to get anywhere, and now its already up and running, wow
I wish I could work on it more than a few hours a week! 🙃 maybe some day.
Great work on the column, steering and trans linkage, also enjoyed the one tire fire!
We gotta get a two wheel peal next time.
Stall 20. STALL 20. Doing an excellent job making it all work together
It's a labor of love.
Wow! That's super cool! Great progress!!
I know, right! 😄
Fabulous. Incredibly menacing when she filled up with smoke.
I can't wait to see the finished product, great job
Me too!
@@RottenBuick The fabricated panel you made for the driver's side on the rear, do you plan on doing anything further with that?

Some of the new chrome paints are amazing. I painted my truck bumper and it was amazing. It does fade to a light grey after a while. Great video.

I never really took TH-cam super serious. I’m kinda lazy on social media. 😆 my name is Chad.

I am also color blind! which is a bind when doing anything like this! Now i just ask the kids, haha.

It's cool and all, but people have been dropping shells of old cars on newer chassis/drivetrains for a long time.
Uh. Yeah.. I’m aware.
Not sure if you or anyone else noticed but when you were doing the first burn out the driver rear wheel was not turning at all.
Yeah. It’s a one tire fire. 😭
