Hey Bairnt! I love the enthusiasm in your videos! I noticed quite a few rules mistakes, some of which you corrected/mentioned towards the end of the video. Two things: 1) The rogue can't use Dual Wield without getting the Talent for it (probably on the Combat Talent table?). 2) You can't just search a Chest, you have to roll for traps and locks (same as a door). Also you missed a Fine Treasure on the loot from it because it said 2 Fine Treasure and you only took one. Fun play session! Keep going!

Hey Bairnt. Around 45:30 when rolling to search the small chest. Your roll of 3 actually means the chest contained 2 fine treasures. Then 1 from the bookshelf, means you should have gotten a 3rd. Can't be leaving loot behind lol. Especially when you kinda got screwed on the tower shield situation.

The Potion table you are rolling on for column 1,2 has TWO sets of D10s for the random item... you are only taking the lower one. SHouldnt there be a possibility of the higher one too? (It starts with a potion of Disorientation) Also, in previous videos when rolling for random weapons etc, you rolled multiple dice, which will Never give you a result of 1, missing out on some equipment. Finally at about 45:40 or so you rolled 2 fine treasures in the chest but only gave yourself one. Thanks for playing this though... im enjoying the playthrough!

Another excellent LoD video, thank you! :) Just a quick note, from a quick search on the PDF rulebook, I believe Lock Picks are only reduced on a failure - Page 26 "The lock pick is consumed if you fail, and you may try as many times as you have picks. Each attempt takes 2 actions." Looking forward to the next adventure! 😁
45:25 you have to check to see if chest is locked/trapped also raise the threat ? a handy flow chart is provided, 52:50 you opened a door did you increase the threat

I have got my characters up to level 5 and hadn't even realised that the encounters scale up with the level?! I have just been going on d100 result! No wonder my mercenaries keep getting killed! Objective rooms don't have cards due to the objective card covering all of them.

Another fantastic play through as always. I finally got my copy of this and can't wait to play. Rolling for road events should be done prior to moving... didn't matter here, but could affect other quests 1:05:40 If I'm reading it correctly, Ulfric's Slow BFO Warhammer makes him easier to hit in close combat. -10 "to hit" stat from card, +10 cumulative from weapon BFO/slow modifier. So a straight roll against the hero's CS when in close combat. 1:17:10 Don't forget to take a durability point off of the helmet for failing to absorb all of the damage. Looking forward to more of this.

Amazing playthrough. Love the enthusiasm. I feel you addressed more or less most of the mistakes i noticed except one. And this might be due to it being newly added to the rules. If you go 4 rooms/corridors without an encounter the odds of the next room having enemies goes up 10%. Meaning the one 60 you rolled for the fountain room would of had enemies.

Wisdom increase will not increase your Battle Prayer Ability because it is Resolve based, however even if it had been Wisdom based when you increase basic stats it does not increase the abilities they are based on. Page 25 "However, once play commences, basic stats and skills are no longer connected. Increasing a basic stat will not increase the skill. Luckily you chose Fearless.

According to my Rule book you cannot learn recipes from the alchemy Guild the only way to learn a recipe is to either find one In A treasure Box or to buy your own house and build a alchemy lab and then you can make your own recipes but you can only make a couple in between each dungeon.

When you make a potion using random ingredients and are successful. That recipe is now known and can be made with those same ingredients at anytime. The positive is now +10 to make copies of that same potion. The negative, using the same ingredients will now never give you a random potion, so if you have a ton of rat tail parts and no variety of ingredients. Your made potions are now limited.
Yes Kyle I could sell it but yes Dmillar is correct I didn’t have the str. To carry it back to town. I now see the importance of str. If you decided not to use encumbrance then the str. It’s been a while but if I remember every time you enter a new room and you do not have an encounter the chances go up until you reach a threshold of I think 3 room without an encounter then you automatically have one. I could be wrong it’s been a while since I have played. Hope that helps thanks for watching. 😃😃👍
My friends and I just rolled a straight d100 for encounters which resulted in us fighting a 1500 xp vampire fledgling and 6 ghouls with out level 1 party. That was a rough fight.
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Barely, by the end of the fight the Warrior Priest was bleeding out and the Barbarian was on 2 HP, after fixing that we had run out of healing items, so we fled the quest. The random monster placement put almost everything far enough away that they couldn't attack first turn, without that I think we would have all died.
@@mejeg that’s super lucky. It moments like that in this game that make me out this one above the others similar to it. I could just image you team “we got this dungeon what’s the worst that could happen”. After the fight “no way am I going back in there”. Lol!!!!! 😃😃👍

Travelling on the map seems pretty lame. Also not a fan of rolling dice for every single thing you do in the game. Surprised your not rolling for movement as well. It’s overkill use of dice.
There is a ton of dice rolling for sure they do state just to roll everything at once and resolve what needs to be resolved so it speeds things up. The overland travel is a not as exciting as the rest of the game but at least there is something there. Always good to hear from you thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching😃😃👍

OKI noticed this in the 1st run through but you don't use the objective cards properly most of the objective rooms have titles and most of the titled tiles do not have cards because you're only supposed to use the objective card that's what it's for and it says this in the rule book which you really should read before you have a play through video because a lot of people are relying on these for rules and you're making a lot of mistakes I understand this is the 1st play through but building a dungeon is kind of essential and you really should know how to do it before you make a video
Thank you Lucas for the great feedback. That makes perfect sense about the objective card. I missed that in that beast of a rule book. Sorry my playthroughs did not live up to your expectation. I know the Dungeon Dive did a great set of videos you should check them out they may be more what your looking for. I’ll work harder at lowering the amount of errors but I will say a game like this is a challenge to play perfectly. If it helps I am probably not going to continue this game. He could, but he'd have to carry it, and I don't believe he had any character with enough open endurance to be able to carry it.

Oh my!!! Did you survive? And if so did you continue the quest or call it and run out of the dungeon. That had to be super hard!!!!

OKI noticed this in the 1st run through but you don't use the objective cards properly most of the objective rooms have titles and most of the titled tiles do not have cards because you're only supposed to use the objective card that's what it's for and it says this in the rule book which you really should read before you have a play through video because a lot of people are relying on these for rules and you're making a lot of mistakes I understand this is the 1st play through but building a dungeon is kind of essential and you really should know how to do it before you make a video
Thank you Lucas for the great feedback. That makes perfect sense about the objective card. I missed that in that beast of a rule book. Sorry my playthroughs did not live up to your expectation. I know the Dungeon Dive did a great set of videos you should check them out they may be more what your looking for. I’ll work harder at lowering the amount of errors but I will say a game like this is a challenge to play perfectly. If it helps I am probably not going to continue this game. And yes this rule book is quite the beast and while I do love the game the rule book does leave a lot of questions

Absolutely loving this series and the highs and lows that come from rolling dice are a large part of why I love these kinds of games.
