My crappy stock jack just broke. It never stood a chance, huffing and puffing everytime I use it. Bought a west marine one, like night and day. The trailer is the worst part of the whole thing.
We've looked and found that in order to use the original location you have to drill or buy an expensive adapter plate. It's much easier to simply locate the new jack just aft of the original mount point.
@MartinLittlefield our recommended jack is beefier but won't fit the original mount location without the use of a separate bracket. It looks good mounted where we selected I think.
@@JetBoatPilot Thanks! You're right, after a bit more searching, I found a video that accomplished mounting in the original spot by drilling out bigger holes. th-cam.com/video/eX0nF6tWD-Y/w-d-xo.html
I believe many Yamaha boat owners would prefer a better quality Jack.
Yep, I'm one of them!

Keep these videos coming! 👏
I wonder if you can find a way to fit a better (stronger) jack on the seadoo switch tonque. Not a ton of room and I coudnt fit the dual wheel one.
@MerpSquirrel we do offer the 1500 lb jack in our store which is a single wheel
Any maintenance or upgrade for the trailer brakes? Mine did not last long at all and will not engage anymore.
We have not done that one yet but may do it in the winter.
How about a beefier tongue jack that fits on the original mount area?

These things rust so quickly. I've got a 2019 SX195 I bought new in late 2018. I'm on my 3rd jack. I spray yamalube on that thing to help.
Are you going to get your hands on the 2025 switch with the fish package to do a review V
@@jesseo355 yes already ordered it
Why not just go with an electric jack? No effort and prices are good these days
