The project has become what I always thought it could be. From an idea to a sophisticated machine. Great work Rich and ALL the other people who put the effort into making it what it is.
Rich, install a dry sump oil system so as to prevent oil starvation on tight curves (like pikes peak). People have trashed their engines with just a pan and baffles.
@@jenibond For continuous, high-load turns? No. Taylor Ray has made his LS drift cars, for example, last incredibly long amounts of time despite driving the absolute piss out of them purely because he overbuilds all of his LS oiling systems, starting with using a dry sump.
@@griffinfaulkner3514 Sorry if I seamed dumb but not being from the US we don't have lot LS here in the Uk its mostly turbo 4 pot that use baffled sumps
If you do pikes peak in 2023 I want full lead up vids, prep, packing, paperwork, travel… document the whole thing and I will watch it like 5 times… maybe 10!!!! … that’s my dream time trial
My opinion on why this channel is a success. Rich it's your humility. Lots of channels start out humble then they morphed into a different attitude. The builds are great. The adventures are interesting. It's your attitude that makes it worth the time to watch. Thanks.
@@DEBOSSGARAGE don’t tease me now… I’m so excited for pikes peak! You can do another collab with Tim and Xavier will be there too! I will cheer on my hometown Ontario boys!!!
Please bring this thing back. I love all your builds but as a budget conscious, semi professional racecar myself this thing has a sweat spot in my heart
I appreciate the cost of carbon fiber anything now, after watching the labour intensive work you guys put into this build. Don't worry about not finishing projects right away, I'm here for the suspense, "what's next ???".
Its actually not that hard. It's about the same as any other bodywork. The product is just super expensive. Resins and weaves. Plus to do it correctly you need about 3 different weave and weight product.
This is a real hot rod!! The original hot rods were chopped up stock parts from different cars and making it all work together with some proper home-grown ingenuity. This is the real deal! Anyone can just go buy parts off the shelf these days and make a “hot-rod”. But this is true hotrodding! Also, rich you gotta find the kid at the drag strip at Toronto motor sports park with the turbo sunfire. Thing is built totally from eBay and just using his own head and it out runs supercharged LS cars all day! Love the content been awesome watching you guys grow! Huge respect
I love how this thing has a layer of roughness to it, not remotely an unfinished look and it's in no way detrimental; it's a full-on, fully functional race car that'd be put together by a team; made by one crazy Canadian in his shed and his buddies. It looks amazing, runs amazing; nothing else like it. Great job as always man, glad to see this thing again.
Cool stuff. I have been watching half of Utah's Wright Brothers, Mike Patey from Spanish Fork, UT, build his own carbon cub back country aircraft for years. He and his twin brother Mark are do-it-yourselfers. In high school began building wooden decks as an after school business. Then raced ATV's doing all carbon repairs themselves. Became bush pilots, volunteer air search and rescue, set speed records, became air show stars and now have numerous thriving aircraft businesses as well.
Great to see some more content on this, I enjoy all your content but this build has been my favourite of all the things you have done on the channel. It’s like the Canadian version of Binky!👌👍
Rich, I just want to thank you for all the videos and time and effort it takes to produce everything. You made me watch all the videos of the Audi in the last week. Love the project with all the others keep it up!.
@@joejacobsen6822 Thanks Joe, I bookmarked the link in the description in the small hours and plan to check out the Zed car they did today. The Kit they produce looks awesome but I dont like my chances of getting it freighted to Australia lol
Yeah this build brought me to the channel it's been quite a transformation from where it started, and looks great. Looking forward to seeing it on the track again it will be so much better now.
Love the work and getting to see this thing back in the limelight. Just a friendly heads up, albeit a little late obviously, I'd recommend flipping your fans to the under side of the rad if it's not a huge pain in the ass. Having more surface area for incoming air to contact the rad fins is going to mean better cooling, especially at speed when the fans may actually slow down what's barreling through the roof scoop. Roof's an amazing addition to the ride, just trying to make sure you get the most out of all the hard work. Cheers, can't wait to see this thing on a hill climb!
The fans would point the air right at the trunk floor. If the air can't go out, it won't pull it in. You are correct, but not in this situation. Happy with the amount of air it pushes as is and it was never an issue with the old scoop
Sure do hope you can make it to Pikes Peak in '23. I only live about 40miles feom there and was looking at going anyway so now really have something extra to experience.
Eh man, Just a JFYI to remember to wear a respirator when you blow down the shop next spring.. Awesome video!! I would actually attempt my own part creation after watching this and knowing about their kit. Obviously with an expectation of at least 1 throw away. Including that hood issue was great because it shows what over handling can do. Thanks to all involved and the editor.
You should put the emblem back on the front where the grill was , I think it would be awesome over that wrap. Keep up the great videos and work. God Bless you and your family & friends.

The hanger that rich used as a skid pad, is the old dunnville airstrip. I did an oil change there on a water spreading truck when I was just a wee apprentice.
DEBOCHO IS BACK BABY! I love this thing, I have since Day 1. I hope to see it at many race tracks, maybe even pikes peak or Mount Washington Hillclimb in NH. (Maybe I can see it in person at Mt. Washington....) Does this have an accusump system on it? You should really install one if not! LS motors dont like cornering Gs, they like to oil starve. Also, I bet Randy Pobst would LOVE to flog this thing around Road Atlanta, and I would LOVE to see that. You should hit him up and get his input on it!
I love watching this channel. I always always learn something. Today I learned that I will never ever have the patience too so carbon fibre. Boy howdy does it look good though
About 20 years ago, I spent a lot of money doing weight reduction on mountain sleds. The cost was about 100$ a pound. Looks like your would be about 200$ a pound so that is a great budget build
