Ford Expedition Tail lights And Number Plate lights not working

Easy wiring fix for 2006 model Expedition, may also be the same for years earlier and later.
Front lights all working, rear brake and indicator lights working. Only tail lights and number plate light not working.

[I've searched high and low for a solution to this, I keep finding the usual information. Check bulbs, fuse etc. Then I started noticing different forum sites mentioning a purple and white wire. I'm about to try this, thanks for the quick coverage.]

trust me it works, you just need to find the correct wire as shown in the video.

i know the video is quite old, but would this issue apply to the E-150,250, and 350 vans from the same year as well?

if you check the wiring harness shown on this video on those models. it would be obvious if it correded and broke off. no harm in checking
