VERY Well explained - This is what I always said that Bidah is much to do with individuals position on the action - The same action can be Bidah for one person and not Bidah for another depending on perspective.
Very Insightful discussion about Bidah. May Allah do good to you Mufti Abu Layth. Can you please discuss the issue of Congregational dua after salah in detail (Different opinions about it). Most people do it in my community so I want to know various other opinions about it. Thank you from Bangladesh.
Tahmid Toki as the mufti explained quite clearly it is a matter of ones opinion based on following the qualified classical scholar understanding of not being haraam but at the same time being disliked as it was never practiced by the prophet pbuh......although a Quranic ayah does somehow give it a leeway for a scholar to derive hukm for it to be practiced not necessarily deemed to be haraam.....best to avoid though as it's not the direct prophetic practice.

As long as it doesn’t contradict the minhaj (Islam Iman and Ihsan) of the Salaf. Such bidah’s are permissible
