- Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket with 23 second-generation Starlink internet satellites. Liftoff from pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 2:42 p.m. EDT (1842 UTC) on Wednesday, May 8. The first-stage booster, making its third flight, will land on the drone ship 'A Shortfall of Gravitas' a little more than eight minutes into the flight.
The mission, designated Starlink 6-56, will be the 47th Falcon 9 launch of the year and the 32nd Starlink mission.
Our live coverage with commentary from Will Robinson-Smith will begin about an hour before launch.

Never get old watching the booster rocket land perfect on the drone ship
beautiful clear day views thanks. i went to a spacex falcon iss supply launch a few years ago and it was amazing.
Missed the live but this never gets old even on replay.
The way how the fire way coming out gives me chillls
Impressive safety record for these rockets. Use them over and over again with confidence. Very nice SpaceX! Way to go Elon Musk. It's always amazing to see how finely they control the fire during the final stages of landing. Really impressive.
I remember as a kid watching the Apollo mission launches.
Thank you SFN for the replay, I was at work
Looks like the upper camera is nearing warp speed (warp light streaks) but the bottom side must be holding back.
Thanks, guys!
Proud. Of the ElON and SpaceX. Team. American pride congratulations 🚀🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🚀🇺🇸🚀🇺🇸🙏
I think it's time for SpaceX to sponsor some hitech lenses and equipment to P. Carstens for his great job of capturing the launches. Perhaps put him on the payroll too.
Is there somewhere that lists upcoming flights ?
Szép indítás volt! Gratulálok, nem lehet elégszer!
Is it possible to have cameras in orbit showing falcon coming from earth? Streaming is always the same, would've been cool seeing it from aliens perspective.
Amazing video coverage !!
Just tuned in from Maine....
Did it finally launch? No notification came to this phone.
Florida Man launches 23 satellites into space from his backyard
I miss him
Will there be two launches today?
14 if you count the Chinese, and North Korean .
Pássaro grande branco não identificado passa batendo asas, no começo do 1 estágio no lado esquerdo da cápsula retornando para terra!
What caused the burst of black bits, that looked like a swarm of insects - but want - just before first stage landing?
I believe those are the little heat shields coming off.
@@timhumphers1383 I didn't think there were any on a Falcon9 First Stage booster. Also, I've never seen them before.
This is this 1st stages 3rd landing. My guess is that it's the bits of accumulated soot that has built up on the 1st stages 3 reentries and landings.
@@glenkeating7333 but, we have seen boosters which have done 20 trips without these bits all over the place. What is different I wonder.
24:02 noooooooooo!
Would anyone like to go on the Boeing starliner on its first trip to space??? If not why???
No, thank you.
They do not seem to have their program in order.
Why not wait to let SpaceX take me to space?
That was cool as anything I’ve seen in a long time…came in from outer space and landed like it had to get to the porta potty….outta the way !
DeBary FL checking in. Warm and partly cloudy with minimal wind.
lol those times made no sense
👍👍👍
They should put Starliner capsule on a SpaceX Falcon 9 or Falcon Heavy, either would have been successful by now.
Rocket launch at 58:46
omg thank you!!
Just watch the video, how the "rocket" Start in a upward angle and then gets to a point were ON CAMERA you can see him level out the "rocket" so it's now heading straight, no longer going up, if you are trying to get to space, wouldn't that be up, until you could no longer see the rocket on an actual camera and if you go straight wouldn't that be just staying on earth, like a plane and going to a different part of the country or world, It's really just embarrassing how gullable people can be! Yall know about the firmament right, or nah?!
I watch this launch from my backyard and it looked like this rocket didn’t go straight up. It did of a couple of loopy loops. Anybody else notice?
It never does go straight up, it has to turn to get sideways speed or it can't enter orbit. From one angle it may look straight, but it isn't.
❤😂🎉🎉🎉The 🍸 earth 🌎iz flat ...lolzzz ...nooo....
What live chat?? and credit mods keeping it Commie?? Bhahaha
glad we have Musk
I can see if maybe they had a set designed in the event the real mission failed. But Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are real astronauts, not actors. We went to the moon. End of story.
Hi Elon ...Jason here, have you got any spare rockets I could uses.
Need to leave . Quick as fuck?
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
We’ve left enough trash up there already.
what do you know? Nothing
Boeing launch, in their dreams, sad lol...
You have seen to many bullshit marvel films ..all special fx, no acting
How does it release the satellites?
Elon musk is real life tony stark...
Nah, he’s just a prick
Wasn't Mark watney first 😅
More like phony stark
