- In this episode we sit down with business woman and fit fanatic Amanda Mbongwa. We delve into the power of discipline, the normalcy of failing in our journeys and the importance of resilience.
I am literally crying while watching this because I just received my results and I failed one module my friends made it through I might lose my funding after next year. I don't know how to feel. But I am only 20. I feel like a disappointment. But what sis Amanda is saying is exactly what I need to hear at this point. I fully relate to what she is saying. But also my inner self wants to go back to school and try again.
Don't drop out. You won't lose your funding
Try again. Follow your heart. God hears you and is working it out. Don’t give up.❤
Whatever you choose to do you're enough. You're worthy ❤️. Praying you don't lose your funding.
You have not failed LIFE!.
You still have the opportunity to do the subject over..feel the disappointment yet please remember that
this is a bump on the journey ..it's not the whole journey, go well.‼️
It’s just one module, I know it hurts right now but this is not the worst. Go back to school and work harder!
Let's give Mpoomy her flowers, she's a great interviewer 🥺❤️
'It's so difficult to fail in an environment where everyone is succeeding' 🤧
Felt that
It's truely not... I know it 😢
Me this year.....😭😭
I felt that
I felt that too
"I believe my hands multiply" PHENOMENAL!
I'm 22 years old and I am a broke and going through existential crisis and a big introvert who has no friends at all and always indoors but this interview gives me a new perspective on how I can take on life
Love and light babes🥹🤍
She has a lot of poise
What a fierce, passionate woman!!!
Mpoomy you're a real definition of living in your purpose and serving! Every guest you invite is so aligned or relatable to someone's life out there! You have Mama Oprah as one of your inspirations but you're indeed my inspiration! Thank you to Amanda for pouring out her heart in this instalment! My take away--
-What chased us in the area that we tend to think we are more seasoned in that's where God tests us the most.
-everything I went through in my younger days, I went it through for the older me.
-nature is the only place I feel I can be!
we can walk together or be in the same environment but it is your journey.
Business aspect lesson- every step counts, remember it takes one step at a time.
personal - life is seasonal and it's beautiful .
Spirituality it's who we really are! we are not our physical body, not our work but our spirit.
Our very own Amanda Mbongwa ❤ Emtshezi,Oqhomfaneni.
'I'm glad that I fell for the things that give me life'
She’s a heavyweight 💪🏽Something about her reminds me of Khanyi Dhlomo.
I always come back to this!
Mountains stand still while seasons change. Seasons do not change what they are.❤️❤️❤️
She commands such power
What a wholesome interview! Amanda is so self aware, so intentional, very genuine and so comfortable in her skin. Thank you for allowing us to feed off her energy.
You said it so well 💕
My 20s was beautiful, My 20s were bold ma'am I'm 23 and I want that for myself
I just love her confidence and positive attitude towards everything.
We don't climb mountains to die 💖
Also failed my last year in varsity and i was literally just like you, strict father, not a party animal and my plan to escape my failures was to immediately look for a job and by God's grace started working when is was 22. Later paid for myself and I finally graduated.
Wow!!! That's a wonderful gift to have, for people to warm up to you. Usually when someone is that successful, optimistic, full of life, most people just want to dim your light because they are intimidated.
"My touch is passion and service...I believe my hand multiplies"❤
Lol she's so right when she says "people love me" it's my first time seeing her and gosh I'm so in love with her🥺❤️
me too😍
Yoh! This reminded me of my first academic failure in life/varsity. Not because was partying or wilding out with the popular gang but... quite the opposite. I was studying towards a career I hated because my father didn't approve of my real dreams and aspirations. That tore me apart. And it showed in my academics, I felt like I was fish trying to climb a tree. What a traumatic experience. I'm still navigating towards being grateful for that experience because beside feeling resentful towards my dad, I still find myself blaming myself for not being able to stand up for myself, for my dreams, for my inner child. Those years were the lowest years of my life. Till this day they are a blur, I always say graduating there was a God work. I remember feeling like Jesus Christ was carrying me through the motions in most literal senses of carrying. And by the time I graduated I felt like a fraud cause I couldn't remember how I made it to grad. I felt so undeserving. All this to say God will carry you through a lot of things let's grow in faith. Really loved this 😭🤧💝
"If you pace yourself, no matter how slow you go, you will get there!" This spoke to my heart ❤️ once again, beautiful conversation Mpoomy🤗
I watched this before, I am here to boost my confidence for 2023.......once again.🤩🤩🤩
Ngyamthanda uAmanda Mbongwa, I will meet her some day. ❤❤❤❤❤
All the way from my home town /high school Estcourt Emtshezi ❤
Been struggling to pass the one module(accounting) which I was good at in highschool. I'm a bit older now and my peers have made it and on to bigger things. Been struggling with accepting the journey that my life is going because I thought 2022 would be the end of the struggles when I went for an interview and I came 2nd and I felt the pain of failure all over again. with my contract ending 31st I don't even know what my life is going to be looking like in 2023. But I'm greatful for this episode. A beautiful reminder that I should not die where I failed and to accept my journey and embrace it understanding that this is a season and this too shall pass
Sending love❤

"We climb mountains to live, not to die". Great attitude and very inspiring I remember climbing mountains every week in cape town solo. But there was one time I literally saw my life flash before my eyes while descending table mountains India Venster trail, then, like Amanda said, I stopped treating it like it was my backyard.
She is a powerful woman❤
I love her pronouncement "her hands multiply "
Here I am thinking about #UNLIMITED FEST I can't wait to see you guys who are attending and above all I feel like this FEST is going to break all the limits that we put on ourselves and that stops us from operating in our God given full potential... I really feel God is doing something big through Mpoomy.
Any way this conversation is so wholesome Sis Amanda tjooo I don't know what to say but I'm happy and hopeful about the future of women in SA and Africa as a whole.
