I love that ALX400 & ALX300. I got told by a Stagecoach Driver that the ALX300s will be getting scrapped next year. :( I’m heartbroken as they are my favourite buses.
Surprise appearance of Avanti West Coast's Class 390121 in the background at 4:08 to 4:18! It would be interesting to see Metroline run buses in this region as they only operate in London and little bit in Hertfordshire.
Well well what to say about Hyde Road depot is it’s such a Huge shame Metroline have won the ownership for it and Stagecoach will be leaving their work there. It’s going to be depressing seeing Metroline buses running out there in the over 1 month’s time when tranche 3 begins. Hyde road has always been the main works of Stagecoach Manchester serving the public of Manchester for the last oh 30 years or so. And then to see them leaving operations only to Metroline take it is sad. I do wonder what will happen to the training vehicles there but all I can speculate is they will move to other depots that Stagecoach Manchester have retained their operations. A great video nonetheless showcasing all the buses going about their business and is such a huge loss for Stagecoach at Manchester losing Hyde road!
@@Nickbaldeagle02 stagecoach got rid of Sodexo as too many complaints about their staff and the food… been changed in to an area with vending machines lol and the little canteen area is now an interview waiting room
I've recently heard that Stagecoach South West in Devon are due to be getting 50 buses from Manchester next year, if that's actually true then I hope some of buses will be Scania Omnicity's because I haven't been on one yet.
Probably won’t be the scania omnicitys since they’re worn out already and pretty crap to be on, out of all their fleet those are the ones that need to be scrapped
Weird to see that different operater taking over another current operator in different country just like how sg bcm take over the bus package and depot
A great video, I've subscribed, Thank you for uploading this video 😊😊😊
Thank you! I'm filming another video for Sharston depot too :)
@glitchFan2428 😀😀

There’s one preserved in Wigan.
@ saw that one recently at the NWVRT Nocturnal Running Day in Kirkby. It is an absolute beauty, a right stunner!!!

Love random railway cameos once in a while!
I remember when the SP06 DA/DB ALX300s were in Fife
So weird to think that one day people will look back at this and it will all look so old!
It's strange indeed! And it often serves as a reminder that we aren't getting any younger..
@kathystanding2229 it is because we are going to get electric buses. The sound and smell of diesel buses will be missed.
I still remember Piccadilly Gardens being full of gleaming new E400s when I first started coming to Manchester.
6:58 That loud Turbocharger and Voith gearbox will always be my favourite sound, but that needs some looking into ngl.
Mmmmm yes I love the sound too 😅
Nice sounding Cummins + Voith sounds
stagecoach london's current hq garage at west ham is going as well to make way for a residential development
Not helped by repeatedly losing routes they ran.
Very nice to see i lived facing there in the 90s, a lot of L drivers out that day

It will take some getting getting used to that's for sure. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video
My Depot ☺️… exciting but sad at the same time, really do love working for Stagecoach.
I'm really glad to hear that you love your job! Wishing you all the best with the BZL VF 😀
@@glitchFan2428 looking forward to it… if you recorded today you’d have caught it out and out as well as the streetdeck
Is the canteen still as shit as I remember it? Jesus the food was godawful.

Are Stagecoach selling the operation or just the depot?
Some their buses are moving over east midlands way when closed

It won't be them.
Nah, I went past this depot in the old Stagecoach livery on enviro 400mmc!

Indeed, the bee network is inspired from London which was probably what inspired the Singapore system too.
They must have almost a dozen learner vehicles in that garage.
Yeah they just keep on coming!
Does anyone know what’s going on on that bit of land where the yellow hoardings are up surrounding it?
No idea
Just so u know the 2nd chapter has a spelling mistake, you put anf instead of and

Metroline by CDG taking over Hyde Road Depot..😢 Where will these sc buses go though?
I believe some will go to metroline and others will go to stagecoach's other operations? I'm not sure so anyone please correct me if I'm wrong
Some of them I think may be decommissioning, especially 08 registered ones. Letting the 74 registered E400EV to replace them
@@glitchFan2428 My guess is the 08 to 09 regs will be transferred elsewhere, Possibly East Midlands, South East, and all over the UK.
The hybrids are reportedly staying in Manchester. The older Enviros are likely to be offered elsewhere to replace Tridents.
@markcf83 For the 84000 series Enviro400EV reported to be acquired second hand by Metroline
Wait so Stagecoach is leaving Manchester?
Their keeping Stockport so not really
And Oldham
And Queens Road
Stagecoach Manchester isn’t going anywhere. Some depots have been retained
