as a serial bleacher of my hair, I can tell you that coconut oil will help that crispy crunchy texture. use it as a hair mask for like 30 minutes every week or so and it should soften things up
Only for certain hair thickness, for thick hair follicles it’s fine but if the hair follicles are thin the coconut oil is actually too thick to penetrate it and will just sit on top of the hair and make it all greasy
Yeah coconut oil doesn’t work for my hair. I use Aragon oil! You can use any oil you just have to find what works for your hair! I think her hair came out great! Also use hair masks like brad Modos and brad also had electric rain which is a moisture cream! Works like a charm
I put a deep conditioning mask on my hair (3 days before) and it really helped my hair come out in a good condition. I rinsed the mask off the day before, and I barely have any damage.

What you should've done: Bleach your roots first with 30 or 20. The only difference is how long it will stay on your hair. Then bleach your ends with 5vol bleach. Or Do a bleach bath on your purple parts, rinse, do your roots with 20 or 30 My guess for you is 20vol for 1hr or 30 for 35 min. Idk if you'll care about this comment but I left it for your future endeavors

Some tips - Bleach roots first with 20 vol for like 45 min or till its as light as possible. Bleach bath the purple. Tone with same toner 20vol, should lift remaining light yellow throughout cus its permanent dye! No need for unnecessary damaging/bleaching 💕

Fortunately I knew a lot about hair before working there and never gave out incorrect “advice” just to get a sale (which happens because they reeeaally push upselling), and if I didn’t know something I told the customer to do their own research. I’d never want to be the reason someone fucks up their hair... I’ve heard of some really shitty advice stories and have witnessed it myself from working there. I still love Sally’s, don’t get me wrong, but just be wary and definitely do your own research.
The entire beginning I kept telling myself to you "Please do the roots first :) Please please do the roots first :) " Since your midshaft and ends are already light, doing roots first would have been over, and then doing it again spreading it down the second time would have made it a lot easier. Though, the end results still turn out great

if your lengts are pre bleached, you should always do your roots first... Brad mondo says it so often ! You already had almost platinum blonde on your lenghts... No wonder it fried :(.
so im gonna give you (and whoever else is doing this) a few tips that im seeing here as a hairdresser:) 1) always section your hair out into five sections. three in the front, two in the back so you can cleanly cover all of your hair evenly 2) your hair was already a level 10 at the ends, do not add any more bleach to the blonde and use a bleach bath on the color in the back 3) always use a tint brush. using your fingers and no sectioning can cause alot of splotchiness 4) the darker part of your hair was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. your roots that you need to wait to dye are only like a half an inch. you should have done your roots after the dark part and not all together. 5) always buy more product than you think you need haha the toner really evened you out though! it looked good:) i would definitely recommend a treatment to get those amino acids back in your hair though.

Don’t put a permanent hair dye over your bleached hair - it’s extremely over processed and permanent hair dye will slide right out of it after a wash or two!! Stick to toners, semi permanent or semi permanent dyes ❤️❤️ your end result looks absolutely beautiful on you!!
Pro tip get a color brush and a comb. Don’t use your hands. A brush will help you evenly distribute the bleach onto your scalp which will allow you to get a more even tone all throughout your hair. Yes I am a licensed cosmetologist. When you put the toner into your heir use the color brush again and then lightly comb it through to make sure it’s even saturation.
Me at the first bleaching: No, no girl, that wont go blonder, just bleach the roots and tone the entire head.... Jumping to the end: Not that bad. I accidentally overlapped mine, now it falls like mad..
