Season 2 (Eps 4-6):
Despite the Garner-Johnson's picturesque life Justin, a now successful and acclaimed author still carries the burden of his father's hate and disapproval despite the unconditional love of his chosen family and in-laws. Michael or Luck Dragon, as Justin so fondly refers to him, must face the accumulating expectation he feels to always be the "rock" in their relationship when a devastating tragedy at work hits a little too close to home sending him over the edge. Brooke, traverses her own struggle in finding the balance between being the pivotal parental figure to Mandy and defining a family of her own apart from the Garner-Johnsons with her domineering boyfriend...

The initial film was fantastic, and so were the following episodes. BUT - these last three episodes are nothing short of ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE 👋👋👋💯! I was glad to see Justin's mum back in his life. Somehow I thought that we would see her again. Thank you for your good work!

I agree. She wasn't all too comfortable with the behaviour of Justin's dad in the initial film...
There is nothing, no other media, no other rom com, tv drama, show, movie that invokes so much emotion in me like this film series. I see a reflection of myself in some of both Michael's and Justin's mental battles and it's frightening how much of a mirror it is, not even like a carnival mirror. I feel things I never feel. I could never go back to ordinary rom coms again.
I have seen that messages through youtube do not always populate for me to see easily. Your message appeared to me today when I was answering another message. Thank you for your incredibly kind words - it means a great deal.
This story only gets better and better. I only hope that the next three installments are the set up for another three, and they are the set up for more. Simply stunning.
We will be filming early in 2024. We are hoping to have the rest of the funding together by then to go through post production! Keep your eye out for us!
Thank you! That is really kind. The three that are in post production now are the planned finale for the series. Jonathan/Justin is convinced and prepared for a phone call in the future for a follow up! :) Only time will tell - never say never.
If I win the lottery there would be a never ending story here. You warm the cockles of my tired old heart. Something about this that gives hope; the promise of a new adventure.
After watching the movie and the entire series thus far, it is so nice and refreshing to see Michael's point of view in terms of his mental health and how he copes with his personal relationships, same goes for Brooke.
Also, I'm happy that Justin's mom came back into the scene and hoping to reignite the relationship with her son!
With the production and writing aspect of this set of episodes, y'all really knocked it out of the park! I'm looking forward to more in the near future!

How could it end there? Now I won't be able to sleep properly wondering just what Justin's mum has turned up for! When will it continue? I live in England 🇬🇧 and am such a big fan. I know that everything will turn out good in the end. XXXXX. I need to have the whole series on DVD though, I know its on TH-cam but I need hard copy to keep forever!
I wholeheartedly agree to making it available on DVD. The film was lovely and the episodes have so many gold nuggets in each script that I need to own it in case it's removed from TH-cam.

Ahh man, I've been screaming to my friends that they need to watch. Just wow, it keeps getting better and better. I hope this is not the end. Would love to know how Justin's relationship with his mother changes. I hope to see 7 and beyond soon. Also, I so appreciate you labeling them so it is easily to follow. Some films I found have weird titles and it is impossible to follow any kind of logical order to view them. Thank you!

Thankyou Michelle for one of the most wonderful movies and following series, that I’ve ever seen. The stories are just wonderful, sincere and heartfelt. The actors are all superb and the characters are so believable. Thank you all so much for bringing us this wonderful series. Listen- I know that this was, otherwise, a very emotionally taxing and beautifully done episode, but EVERY bad thing in my life was CURED the second Mark Tobin was back onscreen. I LOVE that man, I NEED to know more about him and his kiddos. Favorite side character ever. What a guy. He has roughly 20 lines total in the entire series but every one of them is a banger. I'm president of the Sire Tobin fanclub.
Please excuse this explosion in your comment section, I just haven't been the same since I saw him back onscreen and I needed to let you know that that guy? Is my favorite guy. Wonderful series, I love these characters so much. Cannot wait to see how Justin rekindles with his mother.
That is really sweet of you to say. Joel is an amazing guy and his portrayal of Mark for me was a huge favor. He actually works for my children's theatre - I met him when he played "prince Eric" in a production of "The little Mermaid" where Beth Dodge played Ariel. They are still great friends and we all work together on a regular basis. I will share you comments with him! He will love it! He will be back in the final episodes and we will meet his family!

Hello! Thank you for watching and commenting! So far through episode 6 is as far as we have gotten. We are currently fundraising to finish up the story with episode 7 (not sure how many we can do yet. Hoping to film in 2023! :)
Really am enjoying this. I will be excited to see the next three episodes! I was surprised to see his mom. Interested to see where that goes.
It did however bother me that neither Michael nor Justin mentioned the bruises on Brooke's shoulder, even to each other. But it is the first time we have seen them. But after her reaction when Justin grabbed her arm I have been waiting for more "evidence" and I would hope that Justin would be also. So I am a bit disappointed about that. But maybe that will come in the next few episodes.

Wow. I am speechless 😶 such a masterpiece.the movie and the short films. I was just laughing whenever they are having fun,i felt the angee they felt,i cried with them. Beautiful. Even when millions in the world throw stones at us, if we have a family like this, friend, friends like this we can create a heaven in between all these hell. Each and every character did justice for thier roles. Hats off to all those who created such a amazing journey for us to walk through.thank you

I watched the film today and this follow up series was recommend and oh my god I loved the movie it definitely was hitting home hard and I couldn't think that anything could top this movie but then this series totally broke me it is the best thing I think I have ever watched on TH-cam that could put a mirror up to my life and ptsd I can't thank you enough for this gift and now I know 3 more episodes are coming this year make me even more happy to see the soulmates have a happy ending please I want a happy ending for them all

Normaly im a "quiet-viewer", but i want to say thanks ❤ this series (and the film of course ;)is the best i have ever seen... i hope there are coming some new episodes 🥺 im from germany and my english is not sooooo good, but this story drew me into its spell from the beginning... its so emotional and the realization is sooooo good and the actors are fantastic, i love the story!!! I am playing in a theater since i am a young kid and i just can say: respect! Respect to everyone on the set, youre doing an amazing job ❤ love u all so much

Just watched the movie and all the shorts today and loved it!!! It's amazing to see all these characters grow after all these years :).
I am so glad to re-discover More Than Only now after enjoying the original film when it was released. These continuation films are pure gold.
I especially liked the storyline of Justin’s mother reaching out now that he is a successful author. Now that she has seen who Justin really is and has a grand daughter, I hope the story arc leads to their reconciliation. His father is a lost cause, but a new relationship with his mother will really help his mental health.
So glad you have enjoyed the new series! I think you will enjoy the final three episodes when they are posted hopefully later this year!

I pray that Michael can unload all the mental pressures. One person can't hold a wall up by themselves without breaking down. People can be so draining. Sometimes they don't know it, don't care, or just being plain lazy of their own responsibilities.

Bjorn was so open and vulnerable during filming season two - I was so proud of him!
I figured it was his Mom. Since it was implausible it was his Father. And I don't recall that she said much in the original movie. Let her husband do the talking and ranting. She wasn't portrayed as being as enthusiastically anti-gay as her husband. And the way she corrected Justin for his "not hetero" behavior as a child was much more calm than her husband. After seeing the original movie, I pondered if she would come around. Especially after the scene with the final phone call between Justin and his Dad. She didn't look overly pleased with her husband and did a little movement where she fiddled with her wedding ring as she walked away from him.
@Kevin H, I caught that too. That last phone call was horrific, no one should be subjected to that kind of emotional abuse. His mother seemed more sympathetic and bewildered than anything else and she most likely left the room because it was all too much for her to listen to. Not sure how she can live with him. I was stunned when she showed up at Justin's book signing.

Okay, that was the ultimate OMFG moment when Justin sees his mother at the book signing years after she and her husband left Justin as he was in a coma… I LOVE this series and the movie🌈❤️🌈

J’avais beaucoup aimé le film, la post série va en profondeur, traite de sujets comme la santé mentale, le burn-out, la violence conjugale et l’amour et l’entraide. C’était très inspirant de revoir toute la troupe de bons comédiens, très touchant , j’ai pleuré souvent. J’étais infirmier durant ma carrière, je suis à la retraite, je me suis reconnu dans son histoire. J’entrevois une suite par la visite de la mère de Justin , j’espère qui y en aura une. Encore une fois bravo et ça fait vraiment chaud au cœur ❤une belle série comme la vôtre, beau travail et bon portrait inspirant d’une famille gay

Aaaargh, the end of published episods and movie! When did you say episod 7 is coming? I basically don't know what to do with my life rn, it's like when I finished Heartstopper. I watched this show more than 50 times (and I'm not even joking). I think I'll probably do the same with MTO, bc I clearly need my daily dose of Michael and Justin until I could meet up with my bf again.
The Luck Dragon arc was so painful for that, so relatable to me, bc of the distance and all. Makes me miss my bf more. Argh
You are so sweet. WE are in post production for season 3 now - hopefully to release no later than early 2025. It is a slower process in the independent film industry! :) I have also watched Heartstopper more times than I would like to admit. The paralells between MTO and Heartstopper are so many that I am completely drawn to the story (even the title had me "My heart stops when you look at me" VS "Heartstopper :) Thank you for watching. I am thrilled Michael's season has that affect - Bjorn worked VERY hard for those episodes! :) Much like Joe is going to for season 3 - I am excited for him as I was for Bjorn.

Michael season was extremely powerful especially because we didn't know him like that. He was, like he said, the strong one. And it hurts a lot because when a "strong one" arrives to be in a state of mind like Michael's, it's bc they're at the deep end for real. It's so painful to watch! Because you're clearly feeling it and it's horrible

I think Andy should be in a horrible accident for season 3. Can’t stand his character, but hats off to the actor who played him! Really got into character

We often don't realize how traumatic events can be. How we deal with trauma is different in every case. When you think you have dealt with an event. What yu have done is put it aside. Shoved it deep down inside your brain. There it festers, sometimes for days,sometimes years. Then an innocuos event will bring it to the top where it explodes. We saw it in an episode of Mash and West Wing in Mash moldy swamp water was the trigger. In West wing it was music that triggered an event. The human brain is aa very complex computer. Sometimes an Easter Egg in the code makes us do things out of character. Yell,scream or clean out cabinets.

Watching episodes 4-6 as an extension to brilliant previous three and the pilot movie, I could not help but to feel a little disappointed with these episodes. The main gist of the storyline is good though but I failed to appreciate the whole drama when the casts worked too hard to dramatize their acts and dramas...
