Me too!! I hear 24 " shots ". Officer one 17, he sits up and #2 officer thumps 7 more shots. Non life threatening. both are Terrible shots ?? And close range Yeeesh.
100% justified use of force. Thank you officers for keeping our streets safe. I have only one suggestion. All the officers involved in this incident need to go back to the shooting range and learn how to shoot properly.
Can't imagine how much this effected these officers knowing this guy wanted to commit suicide by cop. Mental health issues have increased so much that this kind of stuff is becoming common for those officers out there just trying to keep everyone safe
This is so sad for everyone involved. There are so many people out there with mental health issues that need help. Will be praying for both the perp/victim, his family and the officers involved and their families (officers can’t leave stuff like this at the “office”). To have to shoot someone and then to find out he was trying to use them to end his life is something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. And for those that are second guessing the officers and the number of shots they fired, it is well documented that people high on drugs often don’t feel pain and can continue to be a threat even after being shot multiple times. The officers had to assume he had a real weapon and could have been high on drugs making him continue to be a threat when he started to rise from the ground.
So why does officer #2 shoot 5 more rounds after the suspect was down the 2nd time because he sure as hell didn’t get back up a 3rd time so seems a little excessive
I wonder why you don't show all of the officer involved shootings that happen in fresno I asked to see the body cam video of my sons shooting and all I got was a 100 page police report that tries to cover up and justify the police actions by saying my son told the officers to shoot him and that he was suicidal witch was a bunch of lies my son was running from the officers he was scared for his life he told them don't shoot but the officer say he asked to be shot so the shot at him 10 times 3 of those bullets hit him he is lucky very lucky to be alive today suffering from his

Thank you Sir! This was a terrible thing for this Kid to do... but Police are well aware "Suicide By Cop" happens. If the person suffering has already tried and failed. They knew something like this was very possible. Again, it's tragic, but a miracle this Kid survived.
