I just picked up journaling again, and to see you come out on the day I started it up is a bit of nostalgia and comfort. Your darkness and your sense of humor towards it doesn't make me feel alone. Question: how do you find pals for happy mail and letters? I've been trying forever and I just... I dunno, I can't find people.
Hey fairy. I am glad, I could provide you with some feelings of nostalgia. 🖤 We usually connect on Instagram. All journaltubers follow each other and get into conversations via comments or dm's and then they just agree to send each other stuff. Often it's just a message like "hey, I have been watching your channel for years, can I send you some happy mail?" Most of the time, people know each other a little from seeing each other around. Not everyone is comfortable with giving out their address to a total stranger. But some are. It is all a matter of which way you connect to someone. What the vibes are. I usually have private conversations with someone first, before I give my address, allthough I have no problem sending something out to an unknown person. It's just that I have gotten some creepy mail in the past, that I had not authorized and now I am a bit careful. 😂😂

When I started with my first journaling channel 10 years ago, I only had 13 journals, I think. And I was the one who was watching other people showing of their big journal collection, and I remember, how I was wondering if I would ever have that many, too. Bein active in this community on youtube and instagram, inspired me a lot. It gave me inspiration to decorate when I saw other peoples page designs, and I felt motivated to write, when I saw their written pages. Never thought I would have over 90 journals in the end. (I have private journals as well, that I don't know in public). 😛 So I am thinking, you may be in your first journal, but in ten years, you may have a whole stack of them as well.

I also always see the fancy journals all over youtube with paint and fancy notebooks but I always come back to a plain notebook because what I need to do most of the time is just write. I feel that throughout the years, you have shown us that a journal's true purpose is to be written in ☺️
Hi, Danie! Lovely postcards. The price of postal services has increased a lot around the world, so it is really difficult to send happy emails regularly.
Yes, especially when you send to overseas. That's why I will send out more postcards than letters, I think. I think I pay about 95 cents for a global postcard, but a letter, depending on how much stuff and stickers are in a happy mail, it can sometimes be around 2,80. So if I have to send out a bunch of stuff, it can quickly become very pricey. And having enough money for food seems to become more and more important.
