Had new tires put on last year and now I'm hit with a dead sensor in one of the tires. This was perfect to turn off the warning light. Now to dig out my receipt and see if the sensors were replaced when the tires were done.
Good video, thank you!! I looked into FORScan a couple of years ago and thought they were recommending the ELM327. So glad I watched this video to see the the Vlinker is now recommended.
Yep... Years ago, I actually bought my ELM327 because of that recommendation. With my old adapter, I could do ABS and Air Bag stuff, so I thought I would be fine on this job. However, half of the modules don't show up with the old ELM. Thanks for watching!
@@89G I got that recommendation from FordTechMakuloco (Brian), great, smart guy. If you have a scanner that reads TPMS you can hold it next to each tire to see which one has lost transmission of data. I'm glad I happened upon your videos. I have a 2009 Escape with the 4 cylinder 2.0. Power and cylinder shut down issues, probably because of an expired exhaust valve on cylinder 1.
Oh neat! Thank you, I love seeing how-tos on software like this. Apropos of nothing, I wonder if it can be used to turn off IMRC management in a coyote PCM? 😅
@@jwe88lc Did you have that vehicle profile saved using a different adapter? If so, you need to delete that profile, and allow it to create a new one with the compatible adapter.
@@bp99zmanit's good for multiple. If you look when I delete the profile of my Escape, there are 3 saved in there. The only reason I deleted the old profile was to force it to use the new adapter. GREAT QUESTION!

@@my2k2zx2 I sure hope so! I definitely don't want to remove the tires to replace the sensors!
Thank you so much!!! I’m tired of blowing a couple hundred bucks at the shop every time a sensor blows. Much appreciated!
Glad to help!! I'm not a fan of the sensors anyway... so it's good to be rid of them. I recently did a Super Duty for a friend too.
I think the old fashioned way of checking your tires visually works just fine! And it doesn’t cost anything. Thanks again.
@@jbrockle 💯 percent. 🤜
Great way to get rid of that annoying light! 😎
@MrBlitzkrieg1987 yes it is. It's far too bright at night too, lol.
Great video!
I have used ForScan on my 2020 F150 to disable the auto start/stop feature.
Oh wow.... that is a GREAT option to have. That auto start/stop is very annoying! Thank you for sharing that, I am glad that is available!
Thanks for info. A couple of days ago had a tpms fault on my 2011 F150. I'll give it a try.

Wouldn't that be handy? If I had a Coyote to hook it to, I'd check it out. Thanks Sleazy!
Mine doesn't bring up the "GEM/" under the module tab. Is there another way to access the tpms?
@@jwe88lc are you using the V-linker? I couldn't see it either until I got the V-linker adapter.
@89G using the one that has the ms/hs switch on it. Supposed to be FORScan recommended. Couple other youtubers use it

My TPMS settings are under BCMii
@TheJestinator thanks! Doing more research and apparently it can be under IPC module too
Can you turn off the air suspension system on a navigator!!!!
I took out the air shocks and put in coil overs
@@bp99zman that is a great question. I'll see if I can figure that one out. If so, that solves a lot of problems for 'Gator owners!
