Hey I discovered a few things on the Switch that might help.
- When you don't want to spawn outside of your trap, so what you can do is place railroad tracks. I don't know how far apart you can keep them in order to make a region un-spawnable, but I did rows of rails only one block apart from each other (and I placed spikes in between) and that stopped critters from spawning, but taking away a few tracks magically started them to spawn, and having such a tight area (without rails) to spawn it made it seem to spawn faster.
- Also, instead of building walls, you can place brambles from Farrowfield. That way if they touch your bramble "boundary" they will also take damage.

I'm not sure if anyone commented on this yet, but on a replay of mine I just grabbed all the bramble that you find under the bridge on that Island and used it instead. Not as fast, but it is helping me farm for the same mats. Thanks again for the video.👍
I had to expand my Critter Ridder 3000 to almost double yours in order to catch all the spawns, but otherwise still works a charm in 2023. Around 100 meat every 5 minutes, and the cotton is a much welcomed bonus.

I'm new to dqb2, went looking for some information on pets and their happiness and found this video of yours. I built this trap and went to carry in some firewood for the night. Long story short in that 10 15 mins my meat went from 44 to 250. Got something to eat came back now its well over 500. Thank you very much for the trick.

Wanted to farm seaslime shells - tried on khrumbul dun with seaside sand and only rabbits and regular slimes spawned. Tried on the isle of awakening on the beach and it worked perfectly! Thank you!!
Fun fact : you gain exp as you farm using this method. I laughed as I was afk and saw that message : Your level increased. This tip is awesome, thank you for sharing it !

for anyone struggling with this - it works best outside of the island of awakening! (monster spawns are pretty low on the island, it might have something to do with the scale)

I accidentially ended up at the evil shrine by breaking the first rule of Minecraft after finding the red dye early by the oasis. So I stole as many of the green blocks as I could and used those for my city’s wall.

Amazing As usual! Btw there’s this specific spot where I just farmed a bunch of Magic Crystal, Rockbomb Shards and Exp at the same time. It’s in Moonbrooke! I made 5 levels in less than 10 minutes just there. If you know where you can make a Video for everyone who’s looking 2 level up fast. :D

I made this today and right next to the pyramid too. I realized that if I change the tiles around the trap and in it, I can modify what type of monsters or creatures I get. at first I was getting zombies and hands but now it's slimes and bunnies with grass :D Just a note if this isn't known :D

I just found out that if you have the fishing an old man villager, a chest and fish netting, the old guy will fish for you and you can feed the cats any cookable fish like salmon. I tried just now giving fish to the dogos, they will eat fish as well. The old guy can catch a lot of fish, Jerimiah and Gerome are old men so they will fish too.
I feel really bad for Bunicorns because they're my most farmed monster because I wanted cotton while I was playing story mode, and now once I finish the third story island, I'm going to need to farm them for meat too...xD

Thank you. This was extremely helpful. Meat is used in a lot of recipes. Incredibly handy to spawn it. PS: Do you have any tips for higher grade meat or animal spawned meat? Tracking down Chicken and Lambs takes alot of time todo.
Ben I heard that if you do this on your island and use sand blocks from this island with spikes the hairs will spawn on them. Seems the monster spawns depend on the ground in the spawn area

Hey Ben! nice to see all your hard work in DQB2 International Version now :D i've been playing DQB2 for a couple of days now and quite enjoying it. but i have a question: there is this poison needle weapon in chapter 1 which is totally op. would you recommend using that in chapter 2 still, or is there any other OP equipment in chapter 2, maybe hidden? i've watched your ''all secrets in chap2'' video - just wanted to ask what weapon would you use at the end of chap2 :) been a long time watcher now, keep on rocking!

Worked great, i did end up gong to a island and actually hunt the rabbits legit. Probably took like a hour just to get 100 meats. Finally got that stupid pet breeding achievement, so tedious and boring. Platinumed this game and did everything there is to do, great game
Just got it to work in K-Dum (NS, just finished Moon). I wasn't able to replicate it earlier probably because I was too far below the trapped surface. Now I am standing one block above the trapped surface and the monsters now spawns like crazy
Not just a resource farm but a small xp farm as well
Built the trap, nothing haopened. Got 3 meats though! So took down the walls and laid the traps higgelty piggelty all over the place, and stood tight against the wall of the mountain on the right side hear the entrance of the fire mine. Watched little blue lights go off left right and centre. 3 DQ days and had 300 meat, went to the dessert area North East of the town, and laid these traps all over, much bigger surface, way more bunnies and got a further 400 in 2 days.

its... not a hack.. not even a glitch honestly. just a simple spawn exploit lol.

Also quick tip to make it better you can trap them by using the laser invisible wall things
i found a glitch when you do the method with fire traps you need to place around 150 fire traps and 10 switch you need to scatter the switch between the fire traps after that you need to go fast and activate every switch after that all fires traps will be active all the time

I dug a tunnel in a mine and so many monsters spawned. So i think I shall put those spikes there and change the tiles under.
I'm currently doing this and I think the rabbits have stopped spawning so I may have to leave and come back.

I think it’s about 54 pieces of meat per pair of animals you want to breed if you’ve given them their own animal house because I think they gain a bit of happiness every night they sleep in a bed in their own house. I don’t know if it’s enough to counter happiness lost if you don’t feed them though.

There are a limited number of brambles in Krumbul-dun, and after you finish the story there, you can bring more from Soggy Skerry and Furrowfield- couldnt you do it with brambles instead of spikes?

I don't know what brambles are but it should work with any monster ^^

I have a theory about the roof+direction deal.....a roof but not a room...would be anywhere underground, perhaps they wanted higher spawn rates underground

Out of curiosity do you have any advice you can give on how to complete the “selling things” tasks? Cause i have gone through the entire story and unlocked all the post game islands and despite havibg a merchant and a shop active on the island since instructed to build one

did you made the shop correct? the shopkeeper must be able to get behind the table with the shopsign/items on it

@@astralinadinavale there're 2 sign, a shopsign to put on the wall and a small sell sign you need to put on a table, in the last one you can put stuff to sell
