It’s not halo-halo without shaved ice. Depends if ingredients are the classic ones like kaong, sweet banana, Camote, beans or just fruits. I prefer the classic. It’s anyone’s choice!!! 😊

Whenever I crave for halo-halo, Max's of Manila Restaurant is my GO-TO! What you had there was lacking some of the GOODNESS ingredients I normally get (in mine) here in Hawaii! IMO, simple and basic ingredients TRUMPS over any fancy halo-halo ingredients! Here's a suggestion: try having halo-halo with only fresh fruits such as young coconut meat, cantaloupe, honeydew and crenshaw melon with shave ice, condensed milk and sugar for taste--SO REFRESHINGLY NAIMAS, BARKADA! Thank you for sharing your love for halo-halo!

Original ingredients of halo-halo, young coconut (grated), boiled banana (saba), sweetened boiled camote, ripe mango, sweetened beans, rice pinipig, Grated melon, sago then on top of it is caramel in can. That's our halo-halo in the province.
