CTF is chaos, and it doesn't seem to be as popular as I would've hoped, but man I sure enjoy it! Never thought I'd get to play a 254 player version. Battlebit is amazing.
I notice a big difference between european and american servers in their use of voice chat, on european servers i rarely see anyone using it, while basically everyone does on us servers
you might have to factor in timezones-people are a lot quieter at night I tend to play during the super late morning hours in US servers and they're pretty quiet around that time
Playing this was probably some of the most hectic PvP I've ever been in. Absolute blast with a full squad. still needs work to balance it in my opinion.
Conquest isnt to bad, basic sure, but capture the flag is a beast that is insane, its the one game mode where makign a speed set up is viable, but here is a tip, understand the map, if you go light, do not consider conflict, grab the flag and run, run towards friendlies because the moment you touch that flag, you are enemy number 1, you will have over 50 to 70 people shooting at you, you are to run as if you a korean hopping the border. Now besides lighter armor and bag, a helmet is necessary, then be sure to equip explosives, such as claymores or Anti person mines, then equip a sledge hammer. Now there is something to keep in mind, if the enemy's flag as been captured but you are at their point, do 2 things, use your sledge hammer to break open walls (this is assuming its empty) and make more path ways, assume your path lacks stairs and prepare your escape route.
That halo edit at the beginning was too good for this kind of video lmao, had me tearing up a bit there with the music. Glad a lot of people can experience the absolute chaos that is CTF.
Starsiege Tribes had excellent CTF matches back in the day, and from what I recall modded servers could have enormous player counts. I've only gotten to play this version once or twice so far...
Tribes man... Tribes was my first, most loved, best feeling game for Capture the Flag =D Skiing down slopes with folks chasing you down throwing explosive disks and chewing up hillsides with chaingun fire... Such an adrenaline rush.
My favorite CTF game will always be the Tribes series. The feeling of mastering a Light class and flying through an enemy base at 200mph then rocket/disk explosion jumping out the other side just enough to change your speed and heading without killing yourself... Man I miss Tribes. Especially Tribes 2.
A few tips. You can grab more ammo as you reload. The moment you start reloading you can grab a fresh mag. Drop your mag to basically halve your reload time and pick it back up as you reload.
i've noticed that the americans speak a looooot more in vc than europeans do. most servers i've joined lately are dead quiet safe for a couple "oddballs"
I remember how in Quake if you were fast enough with the bunny hops and rocket jumps you could score within 10 seconds even if the map is like 100-200 meters :D
The prox chat is the best part about this game. The random stuff youll hear is great. Then you have the game play thats added to it. Simple but everything we are looking for.

I played it non-stop for about 40-50 hours before it started feeling repetitive, it does get to be quite the grind when you're trying to unlock some of the higher level guns and at that point you're just looking to farm XP. It is fun and I would recommend it but I've since jumped back into Tarkov because Battlebit was getting far too repetitive.
The mode brings in hilarious situations. We once had their flag, us mainly being new, or just lacking information about the mode (It is RARELY picked), we reallized that we needed our flag back before we can score a point. So we literally did a "Protect the president/VIP" type shit, it was hilarious.

id say maybe the 2nd game to have ctf at this scale, planetside 2 added a ctf like update to certain bases were the attacking faction has to cap a specific amount of flags (conduits)

Battlebit Remastered is hella fun and all. Though there is a bit of a problem trying to get into certain maps and modes.
