I am a veteran RV’er - over 30 years, so thought twice about watching this video. But you know what? You guys made it so funny and interesting that I found myself really enjoying it! Thanks!
Not using the right GPS and going under an overpass that is too low.. relative did this. We make fun of them every holiday season. Uncle Steve, the RV scalper. HAHAHA (he follows TUIW too lol)
Oh I love you guys, y'all keep me laughing, you make my day, no one can be sad around you. I love the way you test beds in a hotel room, so hilarious 😆😆
Thank you Doris. We do appreciate that. By the way, Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for up-to-date info from where we are, meetups, tips, video releases, and more. www.turnitupworld.com/newsletter
Please come to Erie, Pennsylvania. There is lots of things to do year round. But in the summer there's tons more. You must have a local hot dog, ox roast and pepperoni balls.
Loved Ricardos on East Lake Road. I lived in Lawrence Park so.....East side for me. Oh.....and don't forget Urbaniaks. Living in Charleston SC now.....boy do I miss good wings.
😂🤣😂 you too are so Darn cute and funny! I love you guys. So glad I found you guys I've been binge watching your videos while off from work this week. I hope you guys come through my state or city. Be Safe out there on the road and continue to have fun! God Bless 🙏

Re specs: my advice is Never Trust the Husband. (I believe “Hubris” is actually their middle name.) I did all the research and all of the spec memorizing before we bought the Travato. We were driving back to our condo from La Mesa and I had told him several times to think of it as 10 feet tall. The actual exterior height is 9’4”, but 10’ has some wiggle room and is easier to remember. We have a, well, um, a gated community (feels so snooty to say that) and he started heading for the guard lanes with the overhead clearly marked “9 Foot Clearance”. I screamed as he was barreling up to that lane and he swerved to the truck lane which the shuttles and delivery vehicles use. Disaster averted. Now I do a pop quiz occasionally to ask him what the overhead clearance is and what’s the tire pressure. Some people have the overhead clearance marked on a sticky note on their sunvisor. Are you aware of the website/youtubechannel 11foot8.com (aka the infamous Canopener Bridge)? The bridge was actually upgraded to 12’4” clearance but it still eats trucks. Also, since we’re on the subject, can I put a plug-in for my favorite camping app? I tend to default to AllStays Camp & RV. I have their pro subscription, or whatever it’s called. But what I like best about it over other apps I’ve looked at is that the minute you pull it up, before you even put in a location or amenities search, you get a map of where you are with little icons with all the bridges and the clearances. You don’t have to go looking for that information. And it could be handy if you need to know a clearance quickly. My husband, who has learned his lesson, I think, said suddenly as we were driving to a park near home that we’d go under a railroad bridge and wondered if we had clearance. I whipped out my AllStays app and within 10 seconds so I could say, “No problem! 13 foot clearance“. And one more suggestion for things you absolutely should do is to join the Facebook group for your vehicle. So much collective knowledge there. There’s an active EKKO group, started by Stefany, the owner of the first EKKO off the line, and she was also the founder of the group I belong to, Travato Owners and Wannabes - their last RV was a Travato G. (I’m sure you’ve been following their EKKO ownership journey and extensive mods - and lusting after James’ amazing workshop.)
Definitely heard of the site 11 foot eight. It's pretty dang scary to have that happen. Yikes. We are involved in that EKKO group thank you. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.
