My Lelit PL41TEM Anna PID came with a single (7 gram) and double (14 gram) dose basket. Does the basket size affect how long the extraction time should be for a 1:2 ratio?
Would you be able to make a video demonstrating a properly measured and timed shot for each type of basket?
It seems that I can only achieve a 36 gram espresso at 25 seconds when using 18 grams of coffee in the double shot “PLUS” basket.
    Thank you!

    Hi Lelit,
during the shot my temperature as shown on the PID of my Lelit Anita PL042TEMD drops down to 82-84°C. I'm starting with 98°C and lots of pre-heating time and flushing before.
I guess 82°C is way too low for a good espresso shot... or does the shown temperature not matter because this is not the water currently flowing but the "new" water which is pre-heated for the next shot?

I have a question regarding the machine cleaning in case of the 42 TEMD.
Does backflush every few weeks and grinder cleaning every 4 k"g are enough? I mean, any other cleaning procedures after long peroid of use should be done on this machine such as Softener Filters(Lelit PLA930M), limescale, oil/fat removals etc?

    • @LELIT_Official

Hello, many thanks for following our channel and for using our product. It is ok to make the backflush every few weeks and grinder cleaning every 4 kg in order to remove the dirt and oils from the group head and from the grinding chamber.
It's important to pay attention to the profile of the water, use the filter LELIT and change it regulary according to the quantity of the filtered water and anyway within 4 months from the installation.
Furthermore, it's necessary to execute the descaling procedure at last once a year or every one and half year (depending on how often and how the machine is used): th-cam.com/video/8nb2rkKwJuA/w-d-xo.html thank you, LELIT Team

Lelit is better. Much better build and also non-pressurized. This allows you to make real espressos. Not that pressurized machines are bad, but you aren't gonna get as tasty shots. Also, the steamer on this is not "an auto frother", which means that with some practice, you can make better steamed milk. The only problem is that you need a grinder and dedication. It's easier to mess up on a Lelit. On the other hand, the Dedica will almost always make a half-decent shot, given that the beans are high quality.

Dear Lelit team, i see that the first shot on the Anna goes with a nice 9 bar, and the first with the Anita with 12 bar, which seems to me a bit high. What kind of factors influence this, and what do you suggest to bring down to 9 bar on the Anita, too? thanks.

    • @LELIT_Official
      @LELIT_Official  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hello, the pressure depends on the pump, the OPV, coffee blend type and grinding. The OPV on our machines is set on 9/10. If your machine reaches 12bar, you should try using a coarser grinding degree and see how the machine reacts. It's also very important to keep the circuit free of limestone deposits: a descaling cycle will clean even the OPV, which also suffers in case of limescale. Take care! LELIT team

Hello, I received this machine as a gift ; a dream come true to have this machine ! I really appreciate your video as a visual complement to the instructions provided in the box. However, even following all the steps, by operating the lever to make the coffee flow the needle on the pressure dial does not start at 3 bar - as it is demonstrated in your video, and others by the way that I have watched - and therefore never rises to 8 or between 8 and 12, The needle stays very close to 0 and barely oscillates remaining well below 3... so obviously I get a coffee that looks like filter coffee... What should I do?

I have a question. My Lelit LD04TEMD started losing pressure during the brew. I had the OPV replaced, along with having the complete maintenance done. Now my machine struggles to build the pressure high enough to make a reasonably strong coffee. The gauge stops at 9 bar and when I try to make my coffee stronger (finer grind or more ground beans in the filter), the brew just drips slowly (or not at all), resulting in a small amount of coffee before the time runs out. I'm using the same technique and beans I have used in the past with significantly better results, so I'd argue it's not an operator error. Previously the pressure went anywhere between 8 and 12 before dropping slightly, depending on my input. Your video also shows the pressure going above 9 with ease. What should I do - is the behaviour I experience normal, or should I have it re-checked? Thanks.

Che miscela di caffè consigliate? Io ho buttato via 3 kg di caffè in tutte le impostazioni e niente, esce sempre slavato

Yes I purchased one also and very disappointed. I have it for almost 2 years and I wish I never bought it. I also had Gaggia Clasic and I thought it will be an upgrade. Very hard to tune shots DO NOT BUY STAY AWAY.

I’ve been able to make good espresso using my Lelit Anna. There is a learning curve for sure though. Have you tried using an espresso recipe (ratio) and timed the shots? Good luck

Yes, when purchasing these machines you definitely need a free coffee class from the supplier...definitely harder to use than the commercial ones in cafes...especially if you don't have any training.
You certainly need training in how to set the grinder or else this machine is nothing but heartbreak and frustration.

@@tombrzeski8016definitely take a class in how to use the grinder as it is incredibly difficult to work out on your own.
The automatic coffee machines with only a single hole in the filter basket are much much more forgiving for everyday people who aren't baristas.
