Nice to see a Police Chief with balls, supporting his staff and looking after his community.....what he is getting at - this is NOT about number plate readers - is that if a bad guy runs, the police will chase him down. So many agencies and jurisdictions have taken a hands-off approach to chases, or at the least have put in place crippling restrictions, and it gives bad guys free reign and puts good people in peril While there is a risk to engaging in a pursuit, not only to the police officers but to the public at large (it is certainly not unheard of for a rat in a stolen car to plow into an innocent bystander, which is why so many agencies have taken the overly cautious approach) it must be recognized that there is an even greater risk to letting these same thugs simply run away
@@dillonberning3552 , fair enough, but that has nothing to do with his stand on pursuits. THAT, in isolation, was a good decision...but it clearly would not preclude him from taking an absolutely idiotic position on another issue, on another day If in fact he is a gun control zealot, then he made another good decision, that being to quit. You Americans have a rock solid constitution, despite the ongoing best efforts of the left wing politicos, and every effort needs to be made to protect it. Your states are in a unique position to legally defy your federal government, and that needs to happen if the very foundation of your country is under attack But, as always, it would be interesting to have all the facts, see the whole interview and get full context...these little snippets tend to supply only the juicy parts, not the boring - but often most important - background.
Every officer I have known wants criminals off the streets, we live in a very Republican state. The same officers say they will not work in a democrat run state or city.
Not sure I understand your point. Officers that you know personally will refuse to do the job they're sworn to do if a certain political party is in power?
@@superdjent7120 yep thats a fast bike but keep in mind those explorers have basically the same engine ford used to win lemans. And radio waves are even faster
@@Greyteam4291 yeah I’ve mellowed out and don’t really speed. It’s not worth risking a felony to avoid a speeding citation. But cops don’t even bother pursuing sport bikes most of the time.
Big government at its worst. To catch a handful of people in stolen cars we're gonna track every driver throughout the city and read everyone's license plate. Didn't Ben Franklin say those who'd give up liberty for security will get neither? What happens when the reader is broken and they mark your car as stolen? What happens when they run out of stolen cars to track and start using them to ticket you because your sticker is 2 days late.
Even this cop thinks it's a game driving at high speeds putting everyone's life in danger theses same police are the one who pulled me over on morning beat me for no reason tore my rotator cuff then charged me with assault I had no wants or warrants when will they have to go by the rules
Looking at the crime statistics you guys have never been close to winning the game. If this was an actual game you cops would have gotten the mercy rule. To far behind in point to possibly catch up. Most crimes committed go unpunished.
Go get em O'FALLON. Thank you.
Thank you Ofallon for keeping us safe I appreciate you

I’ve been pulled over in OFallon and they have the nicest cops in Missouri!
Bet they are way nicer to you than they would be to me!
My sister loves living in Ofallon.
Definitely wanna think twice about crossing the bridge in a stole car 😭 don’t forget the state troopers will be waiting as well on standby

so they added license plate readers... lots of fluff just to say that.
Your not going to out run those fords
I’ve got a Suzuki Hayabusa that says otherwise 😂😂
They don’t even stand a chance.
