1.it takes few minutes before it will start at a very low speed
2. Before it will blend I have to turn it to the last speed limit.

I don't like the fact that I'll have to use my hand to press down the blender while blending. I rather go for a blender that keys firmly.

Anything operating with less power doesn't vibrate and that's how woofer has powers levals .
If you don't want to hold this company has different watts and different quality with different prices go for what pleases you,cheap is always expensive blenders which don't require holding mostly back check it's plastic when this is metallic

You are not supposed to cover the air vent on top. It's stated in the manual.
Guidelines for safe and efficient use No 6: DO NOT SEAL THE AIR VENT OF THE UPPER LID!
You can hold it down properly without covering the air vent. Thanks
