Hello again. Again, I ask for your advice. I use 120gsm tapes and I prefer the 3mm that I buy. If I use another width, I cut them myself and again 3mm. In my country it is difficult to find paper in different gsm and several colors, so I use the same 120gsm. I wonder if 120 gsm is sufficient for this product of yours. I have already made the heart you showed at the end and it turned out really nice and I would like to make this heart as well. Greetings.

      Hi again,
thank you for your question :)
120 gsm is perfect for this project but I'm concerned about 3 mm wide paper strips. They will not turn good enough. The 3d effect of 3mm strips is not that good for this quilling and it won't be sturdy enough as well. I wouldn't recommed using thinner strips than 5 mm.
If you want to glue the strips on a background, 3mm wide strips will be fine.
I also cut my own paper strips. The strips I used here were 30-40cm long but I never used the full length of the strips for the quilling shapes.

I will use 10mm strips. The translator sometimes has really strange whims and translates whatever it wants at the moment. 🤔😃Thanks for the information about the tapes. Video can be deceiving in size. I mainly learn from tutorials (and of course also from mistakes), at the beginning I was confused about the size of various parts. They were big in the idea, but when I made them myself they were very small. Why? And I realized that everything was filmed very close and therefore enlarged. So now I'm watching the fingers, how the size of the product and the fingers match the video. I have already learned many things, but now I have to practice. I have made quite a few of your products and am currently making daffodils. Greetings@@AbisArtwork

You are right. It seems like my quillings are very huge and I use very big shapes. Actually I zoomed in when I revorded the video. That's why everything seems to be so big. It is a nice idea to compare everything with my fingers.
Thank you so much for trying all my tutorials :) I would really want to see your quillings. If you have facebook, you can send them to me :)

Unfortunately, I'm not on Facebook or any other social media. Otherwise, I would rather not show my products, as they are not overly beautiful. I have only been doing this for 5 months. But I have a bad habit of taking on things that are beyond my abilities and as a result are not the most successful. But I'm happy when I finish them and I hope to improve. My friends praise me a lot, but they only see the product, not the mistakes. I must also say that I am young, but my hands are already old (60+).😄 Anyway, I'm enjoying it and that's the most important thing. Greetings.@@AbisArtwork

As long as you have fun in quilling everything is fine :) When I look back at my old projects I see a lot of mistakes. But my friends loved my old projects. I think it's because they don't know this art and they were fascinated how unique it is. I started quilling almost 3 years ago and improved my skills a lot. I'm sure that I will not like my latest projects in some years. I will see some mistakes as well. I think this is the learning process :)

Ps I am also interested in the length of your straps.

my strips are 30-40cm but I never used the full length of the strips to make the quilling shapes.
