Since first seeing this, I got out all my mini samplers from Miss Lillian. I may not. Don't have the patina kit. But you have inspired me to still use the paints I have and apply some foil. Can't wait to try. TU❤
I have Patina Paint that I purchased over a year ago but never opened the box! Now I definitely need to just do it! There isn't any action spray but I have a blue, copper, & a green. I also have foil flakes. After I get caught up with my orders I am going to try it out! Thank you for the inspiration with this gorgeous cup 💜💜💜
I am a little confused what the "activators" do, but I will make sure to do my research. The end result of this beauty was shockingly stunning. The patina colors look as if they might glow in the dark, they stand out so well.
They react with the metal flakes in the paint to create the patina effect. And thank you! The options are so endless with all the paints and activators.
Very pretty. What do you mean by SMALL propane bottles? I can't find anything smaller than the normal size like I use for my Coleman lantern or sweating copper plumbing. Thanks!
Have you ever had the foil sheet itself stick to “glue” areas and pull up the glue? Areas of the foil sheet that have already been used? I had that happen. I can’t remember if I used a foil adhesive, might have used the tack-it. I had to keep going back with more tack-it on those areas. Just wondering if the actual foil adhesive does this also. It was a pain to fix! Cups turned out great in the end.
I haven’t really had it happen to the cup but stuck to itself but I’ve tried tack it several times and I don’t like how sticky it is and it seemed to get all over everything for me

I followed your video with the paints and sponge and activator, waited 24 hours and was so happy with the look! Then I applied 1 coat of medium viscosity epoxy and I can’t see any of the rust effect 🤷♀️. What did I do wrong?
How do you order the paints individually? All I can find are the kits. That will cost a small fortune to buy all the colors you listed, lol. Your cup is beautiful.

Yes that’s what you’re looking for. Bernzomatic makes a yellow canister that is a “hotter than propane” and i don’t use those. Sorry for the confusion

I didn’t use quick coat :(
And you can really seal it with a spray polycrylic or something similar also

What do you mean Dae? For the foil sheets to work? You can use them over anything - you just need an adhesive
