Tekky does have a lot of really good ones but unfortunately they’re starting to fall into the modern Gemmy problem where they’re making awful licensed items too, if their new Wednesday collection is anything to go by.

Last year, my local Home Depot got 5 or 6 Hocus Pocus animated plush for their Halloween line, and not a single one sold. Not. One. So I don't see the licensed plush having much luck this time around. Not just because it's Disney, Scooby Doo, Peppa Pig, or whatever's trending right now, but because they're using the same animation modules and audio over and over again with very little thought put into the new audio track. It's just like DD_richart1 said: The only thing that's keeping Gemmy alive right now are the inflatables, and that's because it seems what remaining creativity Gemmy's current product development team has is going towards that department more than anything. It's tragic. Their Valentine's Day lines have been better in recent years by comparison.
The hocus pocus one sucked lol, the mechanism didn’t even fit the item and it barely moved, which is why it sold poorly. Tho I don’t think Gemmy will be going away anytime soon, there animated stuff has actually been selling better in this decade then what it was in the 2010s by a long shot, but they have still made a few items that sold terribly, and either because the movement sucked or they were super overpriced. I do agree tho that the licensed items are *really* ruining the lineups, mainly the plush. The non licensed plastic items and plush are actually still good, I still really like them, but the licensed items have been so boring, especially the plush. I still hope they improve and hopefully have the better balance in there lineups, but right now it’s really questioning if licensed items will be the only thing by 2030, hopefully not tho. I still believe in them.
@@SnowysanimatronicsWhat makes me upset is that Halloween has the most potential out of any holiday for some really unique animated plush items, but that potential isn't even being acknowledged. I'd love to see something like a zombie roach or a skeleton crocodile, or more silly monsters like the one at At Home, not these generic licensed items that have no thought put into them. I hope things change for the better in the future.

Honestly I actually like modern gemmy, they aren’t perfect but they can make some quality tabletops. But this lineup isn’t it… I hope the other stores aren’t like this lol

So far the talking pumpkin is my favorite one, but the phrases are incredibly overused. This lineup is kind of underwhelming.
I hope Micheal’s has all the good plastic Halloween tabletops lol, last year for them was so good bruh

I was gonna consider buying Simba, but after listening to that audio... forget it. The ONLY thing I want is the pumpkin.

@@Snowysanimatronics I like that Lowes is doing plush items again... but COME ON MAN, I'm sick of these licensed items that have no character or thought put into them. Halloween is about monsters and ghouls... and the candy too, I wanna see that for the plush lineup, not this boring licensed crud. Ik I'm sounding like a broken record, but I can't stress this enough.
