I agree with this statement. Her home is nice, clean and organized. But there are areas of “the projects” in some cities where there may be a lot of gun violence and gang activity. Where your children can’t even go outside for fear that they might get shot by a stray bullet. It then becomes a matter of “where you live”.
You know what I got from this video??? Not how beautiful and comfy your home is, but the woman of dignity and grace that you exude. You are beautiful, your voice is calming and I can tell how much you trust God. Blessings always.
My grandma lived in public housing for decades. She always said being poor was no excuse for being dirty or not carrying yourself with dignity. She kept a welcoming and tidy, if modest, home, and always dressed like a lady. Thank you for inviting us into your well-kept home!
I agree! I was able to purchase a home a few years ago and I have the same kind of washer-dryer set that you have. The standard ones without all the bells and whistles last longer and do just as good of a job!
I noticed you dont have a lot of "stuff" you are not overwhelmed with clutter. Your attitude and spirit speaks volumes and it is reflected in your beautiful home. You are an inspiration to all, richer or poorer.
I lived in the projects...back in the 70's, and I remember how clean all the homes were. It was a mark of pride that you kept everything neat and tidy. We had a neighbour, Miss Robins, who gave all the children home baked goodies if we were respectful and in return we ran to the shop for her when she needed something. There was a real sense of community in our neighbourhood.
@@seaglass8940 We did look out for each other...as children we were sent out to check on elderly neighbours...my mother fed any child that showed up at the house and when we visited other's homes we would get fed there. I still remember the first time I had fried okra at a friends house and he came to ours and tried tortilla's for the first time!
Beautiful space. Every room is inviting and cozy. I have seen huge expensive houses that don’t hold a candle to yours. Many have the big house but they can’t decorate and they are either too cluttered or too empty , messy and have no warmth. You should be very proud of your home. Your Kids will have wonderful memories of their childhood and their home.
I love how you're saying things about God and saying to read that book about Joyce Myers. I think you're apt.is very very nice and pretty! You've done a great job of decorating!
Was gonna say the same thing. Wayyy better than some apartments here. There are some I opt to wait outside rather than walk in. Love her organization tho!
you may even notice the kids have an easier time too, clutter stresses kids out even though they make so much of it. and dont feel bad making those kids clean
Girl, I had a child at 16, started out on section 8. 55 years later I’m a 38 year retired registered nurse, own my own home, and enjoying life. God rewards those whom feel the way you do. Your place is lovely, and organized. God bless.
I'm on section 8 single mom with 2 girls 6&7. I'm going to school now online and working full time. I can't wait. I'm saving for a house etc i already own my car I'm 32. I know God has something for me i keep pushing in his path i will.
I currently work in public housing management and let me just say, your unit is fabulous & I wish you were one of my residents. Thank you for keeping it nice and showing people that projects does NOT equal squalor.
Yep! I clicked on this video out of curiosity. I have never lived in the project and just wanted to see. Girlfriend your place looks just as good as any of the apartments that I've rented in the past. Your place is lovely. And you are so right when you say that "it's not where you live, it's how you live"! And you my dear are living well. God bless you for your humility and thankfulness on your journey to where you want to be ! May God continue to bless you and your family.🙏
I lived in the projects. I like yours better because we didn’t have any pantry, patio, or washer and dryer. But what we do have in common is the level of respect for our home and the cleanliness.
Seriously. This is the nicest place in a project community I have ever seen. When I was in that situation, I didn't even have carpet. It was all bare floors and no air conditioning. So small and of course in a crap neighborhood. Your place is very nice and decorated beautifully. I think you are very fortunate.
Yes, I've never seen what is considered a 'project' that are townhomes with your own separate outdoor entryway, a small front porch (as shown in the title pic) and with all the storage that her place has. Is it really the projects? Where is it?
I think your apartment is more luxurious than you give it credit for. Lots of people are going back to white appliances, no reason to apologize for that. Nice patio, storage, computer nook, storage, etc. I really didn't expect such a well appointed place. Your housekeeping is top tier! Thank you for sharing your home. It was eye opening.
Truth. I always had and loved white, unfortunately the home I am in does have stainless steel, it came with it. I will replace them as they die with white appliances.👍👍
Stainless steel is a big hassle because it shows EVERY little thing. I had a stainless steel microwave and I hated it because no matter how much I cleaned it never looked clean.
I worked in section 8 housing for 4 years. Many apartments were trashed and gross due to the tenants not caring. Your a dream tenant. Place is clean and organized and you take care of it. Ive been homeless in my life and i just bought my first house in Colorado and am doing well for myself. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. You’re doing amazing and should be proud. I wish the best for you!
Young woman, your house is perfect. You keep a clean, cozy and comfortable home. And you're a great Mama. Great job! You'll be in a brand new home when it's time. ❤❤
When I was first married with a small baby, we lived in low rentals in a small city in Canada. The floors were old vinyl tiles. The one bathroom had visible plumbing. The kitchen had a sink with 3 feet of old metal cupboards attached. Fridge was not included, nor stove. The small living room had worn wooden floors, which we refinished. There were two bedrooms. In that sparse apartment, we made our first home. I made sure it was clean. Outside there were lawns we had to water, and playground for the kids. I have had beautiful homes since, but I count those 7 years as the best of my life. Because rent was so low, we could afford me to attend university to become a teacher. I'm retired now.. but I remember those years fondly.
Not sure what your intent was with this video but you delivered a sermon on contentment and gratitude. We won’t be here forever. God bless you woman of God.
Your place is very nice . VERY clean and organized. I'm 71 years old. I've lived in low income housing on and off for many years. I've never had a washer and dryer, what a blessing. You're a pretty young lady. Grow in the word, give Jesus honor and praise. God's got you!
This reminds me of my home as a kid. We lived in a rough neighborhood in section 8 housing and my mom always had the yard manicured and the house decorated. She always told me to take care of whatever I had, even if it was a shack, and God will bless you with more!
This just looks like a normal apartment to me, like every place I've ever lived. In fact, it looks huge with a lot of amenties! It is honestly kind of comforting seeing an apartment tour that has the exact same type of kitchen cabinets, fridge, and crappy dishwasher that are in your own and has made it into a beautiful and personal space. I did crack up when you point at the bag of bags! "If ya know ya know!"
hi you have beauitful apartment i live in nycha apt for 11year i have 3 kids in 1 bedroom i sleep in living room iim wait for transfter god bless us amen
I don't know if you have seen houses in Europe, so this is a really nice space and comfortable, I don't know what kind of neighborhood you are in? But the house is excellent, beautiful, well organized and with enough space. You in America usually compete with the houses of movie actors who have 10 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms each, which I think is funny because it doesn't serve them anything.
Just because you live in the projects doesn’t mean you have to live in filth!! YOUR HOME IS BEAUTIFUL & you can tell how much pride you’ve placed into your space. Your children are blessed to have you!! Thank you for sharing your space with us GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY ❤
I've been a single mother since 1987 and I would have loved an apartment like yours and with washer dryer! No laundromat!! I'm now a single Gma raising my disabled grandson and own my own little house, and I am so thankful every day. THANKFUL, I hear you about thankful!
This lady has a phenomenal attitude. She is motivated to make the best of what she has. Her home is spotless and beautifully organised. She has created a cosy retreat for her and her family. My mum was brought up in a labourer's cottage in the UK, with damp running down the walls and orange boxes for furniture, an outside loo and no hot water. She wanted something better too and, with hard work, she and dad built their own warm and comfortable home. You are an inspiration - an industrious, determined and ambitious young woman who does the best she can.
A washer and dryer is a blessing. I've had to do the laundromat shuffle too many times in my life. They don't need to be fancy, they just need to work :) Thanks for the tour! Your home is so pleasant and cozy :)
I live in a one bedroom SMALL apartment in Montana. My kitchen is so tiny, it’s a front room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. 2 closets, one small closet by the tiny kitchen with narrow cupboards. Your bedroom is bigger than my 1 bedroom. Your apartment is really nice. Also my apartment is half basement. No washer and dryer. You inspired me to get busy and fix it up in here. I am thankful. Don’t think I’m ungrateful for what I have. I have a roof over my head. You are an inspiration! I am a widow and I’m disabled from a rollover accident where I broke my neck. I’m still walking, thank you God! My husband died at 51 and I can’t keep up with a lot, like I used to. I’m thankful to wake up every day. I suffer from seasonal depression which wasn’t so bad until Covid hit and I was stuck in here for months on end by myself. I’m excited about spring. I’ll be 70 the 18th. Jesus has kept me alive and it’s really a miracle. You just keep on being your sweet self!!
@@jehouse61 oh me too! I don’t know what’s the matter with me. I mean I don’t hoard but I’m terribly messy. 😬 We can do it!!! We can!! I do a lot of stuff, crochet, diamond painting, and paper quilling. I love the quilling the best. But I cannot do it in a mess!
I am 70 broke my neck in a fall a year ago. It is not healing well so have some issues. Getting old is hard for sure. I paint to sooth my time alone. Yes I am also so eager for spring to get here. My life is not as tough as yours. I still keep up 7 huge flower beds. It is getting hard to do now. My husband helps some. I sit on a wheeled garden cart to move around the flower beds. I probley look like a drunk. Have fallen off that cart many times. Reaching for things LOL.I feed the birds and hummingbirds. You can make your own hummingbird food. If would like I can tell you how. It is easy and not costly. You can even get small feeders that suction to a window.
@@functionsbyradar995 oh I would love that! I’d say you have it worse physically. I’m so glad you have flower beds! Flowers are such a gift to us! And I’m glad you have your husband to help you. I believe we all have our problems and setting older is so shocking isn’t it?! God bless you❤️
Get a pin & paper. You will be shocked how easy making hummingbird food is. How much less the cost is from buying it. By the way that red stuff is very bad for their bills and causes them to not be able to eat...'Also never use anything other than as hot water will come out of tap for cleaning the feeder. It will harm them. I have feed them for years. The first year you might not have a lot of birds. Do not be disappointed. Each year the number increases. Also never place feeders close to each other, they are a bit territorial. I have a feeder in back & front yard so they cannot see each other LOL. Their battles will amuse you for hours. if are like me. Also, they might not seem to be coming for a while because the scouts for finding food come first. Also, when flowers are in full bloom, they eat the nectar a lot. The proper time is about right after Easter. Or when the nights do not go lower than about 50. They leave in late fall depending on night temp. Or after the first hard frost. TO CLEAN THE FEEDER & CARE FOR FEEDER. You only need hot water, small dishpan, disposable gloves & a baby bottle type scrub brush. Take feeder apart completely. perch's, the food - guards, bottoms or lids. When new just use the hot water method alone. Once have used the feeder. Do it how describe below way. emptied-out MAKING HOMEMADE HUMMINGBIRD FOOD Any sized feeder used you will just need to remember it is always. Two parts water too.1 part sugar. Using your feeder like a measuring cup. You will need a well-scrubbed & rinsed saucepan large enough to fit water for the size feeder are using. Just measure the amount of water feeder holds by testing it out before ever using it. Bottled water is best for health of birds as tap water has chemicals. Pour the amount of water need into pan. Turn on heat. Heat the water to almost boiling point. Then just add in granulated table sugar. Do this slowly and be sure to stir it well. You will know is done when it returns to a clear color. Allow this mix to become room temp before putting in put back together feeder now you are ready to hang the feeder. It is just that easy. Always fill & soak sink used in bleach water as are cleaning a bird feeder. Clean counter area in bleach water as well. @@RobinMartz-x9f
There is nothing wrong with a white refrigerator - or a old school stove. Your heart for taking care of your family and your love of God is what makes you a million dollar lady ❤️
And they’re SO much easier to keep clean! They don’t scratch and show every little smudge and fingerprint. I wish that good old fashioned white enamel would make a comeback!
Love how clean your space is. You take care of your things and appreciate them and you're grateful for all of it. You have an awesome attitude! You're humble and take better care of what you own as opposed to privileged people who do have the money to buy things whenever they feel like it! You show the value of gratitude. God will treat you well and look out for you 🙏 also the lack of clutter is truly the best.
That's the neatest, cleanest project apartment I've ever seen. I've seen the projects before. My grandmother lived in one; and you have a luxurious home. You keep making it sound like you are explaining your home as less than. Lady be proud of your home! It's amazing.
Most AA people in the projects have neat and tidy homes. I’ve only seen a few that weren’t, and it was more of a light hoarding situation than a dirty place.
We don't let America know what we have we also don't disclose the money we have most black people got that bag. We don't care what people think as long as we know people also think I'm Brock it's not what you do it's how you did it 💯🤷🏽♀️
That apartment is bigger and has more amenities than the tiny apartment I've worked 25 years to pay off... and I live in a "fancy" area called Sandton in South Africa. I could do with project housing if it's that size!
You have a beautiful townhome/row home. Projects I've seen are usually high rise housing authority buildings. Just like on "Good Times". I had relatives that lived in the projects. There's nothing wrong with your home it's very nice.🥰
Holy cow! This is the “projects?!?” It looks huge! And spotless, beautifully decorated, and organized. You have SO much to be proud of. I really appreciate you telling us not to let the insensitive comments of others get you in a bad mindset; wise words. Now I feel like I want to go clean and decorate my house! What city (or part of the country) are you from? You and your children deserve every kind of blessing! Thank you for this inspirational video. ❤
Agreed! My apartment is a 1600/month “luxury” apartment and I would be perfectly happy living in this apartment instead. It’s probably about the same size and the stainless steel appliances do not enhance my quality of life 😂
your apartment is so clean and well kept and i'm glad you're not "ashamed" or scared to show your reality because there's nothing to be ashamed of. you're doing an amazing job keeping it nice, clean and organized :)
Your home is lovely! I am a 60 year old white woman in Texas, I admire you so much. I grew up in a trailer full of roaches, and now no bugs, 2 story house that we don’t need and a pool in the backyard. My house is no more a home than yours is. Unless you block me I am going to follow you for the strong woman and mother you are. Praying for blessings for you and your family.❤
@@nicolecarter2646why you so rude? She said she grew up in a bad place . Her parents were responsible for the filth in her house. She was relating to being low income. Being White they probably didn’t qualify for free housing like blacks do, which is what is leading this country into communism. So you can just stop speaking nonsense .
I came across your page. I'm 68 yrs old and I feel that you live a life next to God . There is a peace that you give off. God bless you and your family
Wow, they call this the projects? I lived in the projects in Brooklyn, NY during the 80's and 90's and we ain't have a dishwasher, washer and dryer area, 2 bathrooms, outside patio area, computer desk area in the living room, smh. This is a nice place so gratitude to the Most High for whatever you have. Thanks for sharing!
From what I know, you’re still not going to find dishwashers washer/dryer etc in NYCHA. I have coworkers who live in NYCHA and getting heat and hot water in the winter and gas for cooking are luxuries many buildings dont provide still for whatever reason, plus rats are living there rent free. I heard that some NYCHA complexes are better than others though.
Nice apartment. Great attitude. I was a landlord for nearly 30 years. You seem like a dream tenant. May God honor your gratitude, see your humility and bless you with your own. 🙏🏾
I never lived in public housing but as a mother of 5 who became single when my youngest was two I lived in some very cheap apartments. Many of them were not nearly as nice as yours is. I am happy to see that although it may not be the most modern apartment it is enough to fit your needs. The fact there is a place to do laundry alone is fantastic. It is incredibly tedious to walk or find transportation with children and amuse them long enough to do your laundry every week. You keep your place so neat and tidy as well and that helps how one feels about their space so much. Thank you for sharing your home with us! 😄
Girl.... Don't be so hard on yourself. You're doing great! You have a place to lay your heads at night, appliances to feed your family, and it's all clean and tidy. Good Job Mama! Proud of you
I grew up in a project in the 60's. Wonderful neighbors from all over the world. My neighbors were so good to my sister, brother and myself. They were there for us with our tragedy. Our homes were clean and we shared food. I have gratitude in my life. Bless the poor. Be generous to others. Sending love to this sweet woman.
It’s way nicer than I thought it would be. It’s very clean and you can tell you have pride and gratitude. I am also a single mom, I am now 59 and my girls are now 35 & 30. I worked really hard and when my girls were little we lived in a one bedroom one bath trailer, it was 400 square feet. By the time my daughters were preteen and a teenager I had earned my masters degree and was able to buy a 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I did everything be myself while living in the very expensive Bay Area. You can do anything you put your mind to. You have a great spirit and attitude. Thanks for sharing wish you well.
Loved this. I just want to say I truly see you. A human. A black woman. A mother. A provider. Bless you for everything you are and more. Thank you for showing us a bit of your life. Much love.
I live in a tiny studio in a low income housing apartment complex and i adore it because it is my space. I think having gratitude for what you have is so important. Your apartment is lovely and very homey and clean!
I don't know you, but I'm proud of you. You showed what can be done with any amount of space when it's kept clean and organized. Your space shows you've taught your children to appreciate what they have also. Plus you ain't ashamed to acknowledge our Lord and the space you've created to worship him. Blessings surely will continue to be poured out on you.
You have a lovely home. I’m a disabled senior trying to find affordable housing and your beautiful abode is Goals to me! Thank you for sharing your space with us; when I saw what you’ve done with everything and how nicely you’ve personalized the space it gave me hope that perhaps I too will be so blessed. Thank you for refreshing my faith and hope in Father to remember that no matter what, He’s got me. From what you’ve shown here I’d say He’s got you too! Praise be the Most High, His Mercy endures forever! Stay Blessed, dear heart. You’re inspiring to see. Thank you for sharing this.
Your home is immaculately clean, uncluttered, organized and decorated beautifully. At this point in the world today, we should all be so fortunate to have a cozy, warm and inviting place to call home. A lot of people aren’t so fortunate.
I'm a small landlord in Brooklyn who has come across many tenants throughout the years and all I can say is that you should be very proud of yourself. You keep a beautiful home and I love it! Nobody needs a mansion. I have a tenant who is 36 that just got married and moved her husband in recently. I never inspected her apartment because I like to trust people but after she lived there a few years, I had to go in there for a broken pipe when she was away. Well, all I can say is I was shocked and so upset. It was filthy. The walls were dirty and the bathroom was full of mildew. I could smell the bed sheets a mile away and they smelled like they were never washed.....ever! I gave the place to her spotless and so clean with fresh paint. It looks like she never even washed the floors either. If anyone saw her walking down the street, she wears expensive clothes and you'd think she was so clean. Well, the joke was on me. Anyway, the damage is done so I just let her be and didn't say anything. She pays the rent so I'm just going to wait for her to move and then I'll have to redo everything. If only everyone were like you, Ms. McIntyre. If only...
@@P.Kenney Well, since this is the internet, I can't be specific. It's one of the most expensive areas. I actually don't like it and want to move somewhere peaceful.
That’s “the projects”? Better starting palette than I’d imagined. Beyond that you’ve done an excellent job of decorating and organizing and you keep it so nice and clean. I think this channel has great potential. Keep sharing your home, cleaning, shopping, etc… busting the myths about income based everything. Showing reality because I’m sure not all people have as nice a place, and if they do, I’m sure many struggle with cleaning, working, taking care of kids and raising them right. You have much to share and you’ll be amazed how your audience grows. You could help others adjust the way they do things to live a best life just by example. No judgement. No preaching Everyone could use help and I can see this taking off. I’m a plus 1 today because I want to watch you take off. Personally I really like cleaning vids, before and after, organizing and I’m not the only one. This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched so I don’t know if you have some formal theme going yet but think you could ride this puppy. I really like your perspective. Good luck.
Thank you for your tour!! You are gonna blow stereotypes of “the projects” out! Your home is so neat and clean and attractive! And black people aren’t the only ones who save grocery bags 😂. This older white woman does too! I use them for small trash can bags, and when my boys were in school they used them to take their lunch to school…they didn’t want an old lunch box!
Your "project apartment" is a lot nicer than my small house in the suburbs. I inherited it from my father, who passed a few months ago. He was a hoarder so I've got some work to do on it and not a lot of $$ but you've really inspired me. I remember taking a financial class at my church years ago and the elder who was teaching said the goal should be to live at a world class level with whatever resources and income you currently have & it looks like you're doing that. Blessings to you!
Your home is a reflection of you, I admire your respect for your daughter. You are teaching her about boundaries, she feels comfortable enough to say mom don’t show my room and you respect that. I think you are a great mother and you have a lovely home, it’s beautifully decorated and very clean and organized. Thank you for sharing it with us ! 💕 🙏🌞🪴🌻🌼
Your home is so nice! Looks so comfy and cozy! You are doing a GREAT job ! I Didn't make very good choices when I was young. Two kids And divorced by the time I was 17. I've lived in projects and small trailer parks. We can afford what we can afford, but we Kept it clean and comfortable. I remarried and things were tough, slow going, and we both worked our butts off in factories .All of our furniture, TVs etc. were hand-me-downs or thrift shop. We have been through hundreds of cars, Because they were all bombs we even had to live almost 2 years with no vehicle. We lost one home, and a couple of cars Repossessed. As Time goes by, you upgrade here and upgrade there. Now in our sixties, the kids are grown, we have lots of grandkids and great grandkids. We have a modest 2100 square ft home in a Lake community. We got our very first brand-new car in 2020 ( a black Toyota Rav4) . We turned one of the bedrooms into office where we work. The furniture I have now is the furniture I always dreamed of. We still have to work hard to keep everything paid for, but everything we have we owe directly to God ! Your home is Lovely. I can imagine cuddling up on the couch with a warm blanket and the kids with that warm fireplace heater going.... Serenity! you should be very proud of yourself. You are doing a great job. As a woman who's been there, I am so proud of you! Hard work, perseverance, and team God ! love you my friend
Great video! 🎉 This took me back. My son and I lived in the hood in a townhome apartments and people judged the area thinking my apartment would be shabby and unkempt. Baby, when my now husbands parents stepped in, they couldnt believe their eyes. Everything was neat, clean, the color scheme and minimal decor was on point, etc. They have money, land passed down, properties, etc. They thought my maintenance job wouldnt afford me decent things, that Id have roaches, and live rundown. No, baby! You can find gems in Roses, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Goodwill, etc.
Hello from a single mother of now-adult sons over in the UK. I love your home! There is NOTHING like having a door of your own to close whenever you want, and to open for friends and family. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing your home with everyone. I was very poor growing up, but we weren’t dirty or lived in filth. Some people have the misconception that all poor people are nasty. But I have been in rich people’s houses that are filthy. I can’t believe they don’t appreciate what they have. I see you don’t take anything for granted. May God bless you and your children. Thank you again
Your home is beautiful! Because of an income based house, I was able to take care of 2 sons as a single and go to school at the age of 42 and become an elementary school teacher! Your home is beautiful and so are you! I am now 73 years old. 7 years ago i was able to buy a completely remodeled home for $50,000 with a house payment of $381.00 per month! Your home video has inspired me to get rid of all excess clutter 😅 because of how beautiful your home is! Sweetie, I'm proud of you though I've never met you! Keep up GOD'S good work!
I’m from the projects in NY & ours didn’t look like this but it was Our Home. Years later I’m in an income based townhome and it’s the BEST apartment I’ve ever had as an adult! My son has his own room, he’s comfortable, he safe and that’s all that matters to me ❣️
I lived in Dyckman St. projects from 1955-1966 7 buildings, 14 floors! My mother was constantly redecorating and moving furniture around, she kept it lovely! 😊
Where do you live where THIS is designated as “The Projects”?! Where I live, a duplex with two full bathrooms, a dishwasher, washer/dryer closet and a back patio is considered “Luxury” for thousands of dollars per month! God bless you and your family! Many more years of success and good health to you all! ❤😊🎉🕊️💐
You don’t even get houses like this in the UK where I’m from. Very rare to have 2 bathrooms and even more rare to have a wash room for the machine. The equivalent of the projects in the UK is much worse!
Meek, What a warm and welcoming home you've created for yourself and your children. They will always be proud of their mama. They will know how to live in every circumstance. In what-so-ever circumstances you are in be grateful. Blessings on you! B, from California
I had to comment on this. First of all I have NEVER seen projects that have a dishwasher, desk area, lights in the closets, walkin closets and two pantries. Thanks for being transparent! I love your stance on life. Keep up the good work!
I've never lived in the projects, but had friends that did & I've seen other project communities, but, like you said, none had those amenities! She actually lives in a townhome, if the title pic is accurate, and also has a small front porch. Where do they have projects like this?
I started out in projects, and I made it beautiful as well. How you live reflects who you are inside. How you start out doesn’t determine how you end up, it’s all about the mindset, it’s a stepping stone to where you’re going! As I stated, I started where you are, and I went to College, got a great job then a career! All while living in the projects. From there the sky is the limit! I married, had children, brought a 3500 sq ft home, now an EMPTY NESTOR/Widow, I’m in my 1300 sq ft retirement home and I love it! NEVER regretting my past, embracing it because it was my humble beginnings! You got this young lady!!!
If most people in the projects lived like this it wouldn’t be the projects. I’d say she is most likely one of the few who takes care of her home. You don’t have to be rich to not throw your trash everywhere and destroy your community.
I grew up with a single mother in the projects from 2nd grade until 9th grade. Your apartment is alot bigger compared to the two bedroom one bath I grew up in. We only had space for a washer, and no dryer we had a clothes line. Definetely had no dishwasher. Saying that though I wouldn't trade my upbringing for anything because we had community, it also taught me compassion and empathy. We knew our neighbors, people looked out for eachother and although we were in the projects for the most part people had pride in where and how they lived. I live in an upper middle class suburban neighborhood now, but it never gives me tht sense of community like when I grew up and I miss that. My mother was much like you had nice things, put together well, and kept the apartment spotless. Looking back on that as an adult I truly appreciate how she made the apartment feel like home, and I know your kids will feel the same. I truly pray that God answers your prayers and all of your wildess dreams for you and your children. The old could use a lot more people with your mindset and positivity.
I loved watching every minute of this video! You hit so many key points that I've always resonated with. "Luxury is a mindset." Truth! Many folk attribute luxury to living in a modern home, etc. My luxury is acquiring a few acres of land with a small home on it. Walking barefoot every chance I get. I remember this one woman told her audience on fb that luxury is wearing high heels/stilettos. I countered that with pretty much what you said, and she blocked me. Refreshing to see someone so down to earth. Your townhome is fire.
Your home is so nice. It doesnt look like the projects, it doesnt even look like an apartment. To me it looks like a house. .Love that the bedrooms are upstairs. Love the fact that you have a backyard. The entire place looks so welcoming and cozy. Lovely
You are so organized. Your home is beautiful. I love that your sofa is not against the wall. Not having a TV in your son's room is so smart. It promotes interaction with the family.
So glad I came across your channel. I'm 66 years old and it is so refreshing to see a young lady as yourself who loves the Lord and Who is so thankful for what you have. Thank you for inspiring me and many others. Love your channel!
I know people in wealthy suburbs that pay 3k+ for tiny and poorly kept STUDIO apartments, and here is an apartment in the projects that is nicer than any of them. What a home is worth is different for everybody. Some people sacrifice everything for location. Some people sacrifice everything for square footage. Some people don’t have much choice. The important things are these: Do you have what you need? Is your home safe? Do you find refuge in it? Is there love in it? Are you making happy memories there? Can you feel at peace there? Having a home is like having a relationship. It needs to provide safety and security, and we need to invest care and time into it. This is a great example of a home that the family takes pride in and cares for well, and it shows. It is very lucky to grow up in a home that is so cozy and calm and warm.
Your home is clean, organized, cozy, full of love and kindness. So many "affluent" ppl dont have none of that. Your apartment is your castle, and youve made it so. The plastic bags..my mom has hers under the sink and every time we open the doors we have to hurry and catch em all! Youre doing an EXCELLENT JOB!!! Loved the video!❤️❤️
Your home is lovely. Even lovelier is your gratefulness, joy, and ability of making the most of what you have! Your home is well cared for and cozy! God bless you.
Your apartment looks so nice and pretty and is a good size too. I absolutely love the desk spot your son does his legos on. Perfect idea girl!!! And him being around you and rest of family while he plays is so good for his mentality rather than being alone all the time in his room. Ao double bonus girl!
It is so cool that you even thought to do this! So many people have preconceived ideas and judgement, and in one well-produced video you cut through the ignorance and counter with dignity. That’s a major step in changing the word, eliminating ignorance. You are also teaching those who don’t have a lot, or have to depend on a subsidy that however little we have, we can create a home, we can create beauty and that gratitude itself is a light. On top of that you’re smart, a loving mom, and you clearly have a gift with design. I see good things ahead for you. As for myself, you make me want to clean house tomorrow lol.
God has blessed you and your children with a beautiful home and you can see all the work you put into it too, it's so clean and organized. I love the little touches like the Lego play area and fireplace, the fireplace just makes it feel so cozy. I think the white refrigerator matches your kitchen and cabinets way better than stainless steel would. Thank you for the tour I really enjoyed it!
You have a lovely home. I love when people show their kitchens and DON'T have all stainless steel appliances, not everyone can afford to nor should you get rid of a working appliance just because you want to show other people you have them. Not all of us do. Love the fact that you appreciate what you have as soooooo many people waste so much energy on focusing on what they don't have.
I'm over it too, I do have one I drug from the old house so I kept it cause it's big, using old apt type fridge that was left until I get another one , but I did get the stove I wanted, black electric double oven and top oven has air fryer feature, so for now treat for my Birthday.
@@lyndaabrahamson3244 Well, my house IS full of fancy things that I get from yard sales, LOL. However, my fridge is at least 25 years old, white and falling apart. I bought some cheap stainless peel and stick from Amazon and it looks a LOT better (and like real stainless steel). You know what though? It keeps stuff COLD. And everyone I know who has the "water in the door" feature has had that part broken in no time - NOT worth it.
@@purselmer5931 I was thinking. It's hard to find a window covering for my bathroom window. Do you think those peel and stick things would work as privacy for the window?
Your home is beautiful! "It's not where you live; it's how you Live!!" I love that Sis! Your home screams Love, Comfort, and Safety. I love this. On top of all that, it is very well-kept. You're doing a great job. Thank you for sharing your space.
“It's not about where you live; it's how you live.” I felt that one ❤❤
You nailed it. Her home was lovely dignity. Agree
Yep, I felt that too😁
Her home is ideal. So organized and peaceful. That is what home should feel like. ❤
I agree with this statement. Her home is nice, clean and organized. But there are areas of “the projects” in some cities where there may be a lot of gun violence and gang activity. Where your children can’t even go outside for fear that they might get shot by a stray bullet. It then becomes a matter of “where you live”.
Love this video! You have a lovely townhouse! Thank you for sharing your home! You are so blessed! Keep going, Sis!
You know what I got from this video??? Not how beautiful and comfy your home is, but the woman of dignity and grace that you exude. You are beautiful, your voice is calming and I can tell how much you trust God. Blessings always.

You said exactly what I was thinking
If you love home and are a homemaker, you can make a home anywhere! Your home is lovely, and cozy! ❤❤❤❤❤
Same. Agreed 100%. You have a lovely apartment. You make it beautiful and cozy as heaven. Love it.
My grandma lived in public housing for decades. She always said being poor was no excuse for being dirty or not carrying yourself with dignity. She kept a welcoming and tidy, if modest, home, and always dressed like a lady. Thank you for inviting us into your well-kept home!
Yes, no TV yet too distracting for youngsters. Smart move.
right @dmeneka , my grandmother taught me the same thing ...... thank you so much for sharing with us

Listen young lady, those appliances you have are much better than the newer ones.
New appliances doesn’t last long at all. Your home is beautiful.
New washing machines don’t even clean the clothes. And it takes hours for a cycle to complete.
They don't make em like they used to! 😢

We looked out for each other, remember Tenant Patrol!
The good old days 😊
I love how you're saying things about God and saying to read that book about Joyce Myers. I think you're apt.is very very nice and pretty! You've done a great job of decorating!
This apartment looks nicer than a lot of apartments that aren't in the projects. You even have in-unit laundry. That's great!
Right! I was just going to say that!! Beautiful home ❤Be blessed, always!,
Was gonna say the same thing. Wayyy better than some apartments here. There are some I opt to wait outside rather than walk in. Love her organization tho!
Wayyyyy nicer! I live in an RV! And not a big, nice one! I would LOVE to have an apartment like this!
Yes I live in a 3 bedroom triplex with no counter or cabinet space one of the bedrooms I turned into a pantry because I have no room
nice spot! 🎉
This is motivating me to clean my messy ass house. Single working mom and I put my house last, I’m glad I saw this
you may even notice the kids have an easier time too, clutter stresses kids out even though they make so much of it. and dont feel bad making those kids clean
Yes I struggle keeping up with my messes but I notice the significant boost in my mental health when the house is clean and organized.
Your decorating skills are great

This did come with a washer and dryer I brought my own, just the hookup. Thanks for watching it’s appreciated ❤️
Seriously. This is the nicest place in a project community I have ever seen. When I was in that situation, I didn't even have carpet. It was all bare floors and no air conditioning. So small and of course in a crap neighborhood. Your place is very nice and decorated beautifully. I think you are very fortunate.
so true!
Loved it.
Yes, I've never seen what is considered a 'project' that are townhomes with your own separate outdoor entryway, a small front porch (as shown in the title pic) and with all the storage that her place has. Is it really the projects? Where is it?
Same. I wouldn't know she lived in the projects if she hadn't said it
Ikr. Thjs apt is YUGE!! Where is the roaches and rats? The lack of heat and hot water?
I think your apartment is more luxurious than you give it credit for. Lots of people are going back to white appliances, no reason to apologize for that. Nice patio, storage, computer nook, storage, etc. I really didn't expect such a well appointed place. Your housekeeping is top tier! Thank you for sharing your home. It was eye opening.
Truth. I always had and loved white, unfortunately the home I am in does have stainless steel, it came with it. I will replace them as they die with white appliances.👍👍
I bought a house for 250k & it came with white appliances. Im keeping them
Your apartment is so nice! You have done such a lovely job decorating! Anna Maria Leader
Stainless steel is a big hassle because it shows EVERY little thing. I had a stainless steel microwave and I hated it because no matter how much I cleaned it never looked clean.
@@Momma_AL Absolutely. White appliances, you can see when they are clean, without the ugly mess of stainless, that never looks clean to me. 👍👍

Great for home office

Very nice home! Love it!

Do it how describe below way.
emptied-out
MAKING HOMEMADE HUMMINGBIRD FOOD
Any sized feeder used you will just need to remember it is always.

I love how she doesn’t trust the dishwasher lol
Yeah as someone in Philly I wouldn't exactly describe the rowhomes as the projects there might just be a few bad neighborhoods/blocks that's all
I was coming here to say the same. I lived in NYCHA, and we barely had heat and hot water!😤
I've never seen this in the projects either but any apartment complex in the hood is considered the projects no matter what's inside or out.

Much love.
amen! a real person living life and doing well
❤❤❤
Nice clean apartment
Bless you Hon. GOD'S GOT IT!
Google wooda cooper corporation they have income based housing and they have units in alot of different states. Hope you can find something soon.
McIntyre. If only...
Where in Brooklyn is your rental?
@@P.Kenney Well, since this is the internet, I can't be specific. It's one of the most expensive areas. I actually don't like it and want to move somewhere peaceful.
@@alabaster193 I was an asking for a specific address, just the area.
Your home shows that you care about being a good mother and caring for yourself and your children. Thank you for inviting us into your home. ❤
Good luck.
@unfrozencavemanlawyer3950...And I like your comment and encouragement. I hope this channel succeeds.
When posting that about bags it was basically a joke bc SM always crack jokes about it. Thanks for tuning in 💕💕
"Luxury is a mindset." Amen.
Love your video. Your home is so cute, cozy, and clean!
Yes! Thank you!
Your home is lovely. You’re providing a lovely, clean home for your children. You’re teaching them by example. Great job! Be Blessed! ❤
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
OkAAAy!!!🫰🏾🫰🏾🫰🏾 All my FAV stores…Dollar General as well!!!
Nice big kitchen
Hello from a single mother of now-adult sons over in the UK. I love your home! There is NOTHING like having a door of your own to close whenever you want, and to open for friends and family. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing your home with everyone. I was very poor growing up, but we weren’t dirty or lived in filth. Some people have the misconception that all poor people are nasty. But I have been in rich people’s houses that are filthy. I can’t believe they don’t appreciate what they have. I see you don’t take anything for granted. May God bless you and your children. Thank you again
Adorable decorating, video, fireplace, and host. Thank you for sharing.😊
My son has his own room, he’s comfortable, he safe and that’s all that matters to me ❣️
Love it!! ❤
Same! SoCal is beyond ridiculous with rent now.
Yeah, this some back east stuff. This place nice asl
That’s what I’m saying THIS IS THE PROJECTS!??
You don’t even get houses like this in the UK where I’m from. Very rare to have 2 bathrooms and even more rare to have a wash room for the machine. The equivalent of the projects in the UK is much worse!
Meek, What a warm and welcoming home you've created for yourself and your children. They will always be proud of their mama. They will know how to live in every circumstance. In what-so-ever circumstances you are in be grateful. Blessings on you! B, from California
Thanks love ❤️
Beautifully said 🕊️💚
We need more content like this. You represent majority of people’s environment and situations. Thank you for sharing!
Yes indeed!
If most people in the projects lived like this it wouldn’t be the projects. I’d say she is most likely one of the few who takes care of her home. You don’t have to be rich to not throw your trash everywhere and destroy your community.
Unfortunately too many live in the projects because they can't get off their butts to work.
@@ginadietz4531This!!
You've really got it together girl...Not just in your lovely little apartment but most importantly in your head...
Girl, you have a nice home you should be proud. Is very clean and well-organized and you can tell that you're a good mom
Your home is so cozy, well organized, clean and just beautiful . Just another proof that creating a cozy environment doesn’t require much money,
That stove was spotless. I need to know how, because my old stove will not come clean like that.
I appreciate this because this video was just randomly filmed and organically spoken from my heart. Thanks for watching ❤️
Your home is so nice. It doesnt look like the projects, it doesnt even look like an apartment. To me it looks like a house. .Love that the bedrooms are upstairs. Love the fact that you have a backyard. The entire place looks so welcoming and cozy.
Lovely
I agree. That’s a very nice apartment and very large. You’re blessed!
That’s because it is a townhome. Much better than an apartment in my opinion
This place is really nice and well kept!! The projects look way better than some condos!
It’s a blessing to have a place to live these days. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
I'm impressed. What a beautiful apt. It looks stylish, clean and very organized.
Yes, I agree. My house is full of fancy things. It's all yard sale things. But I am proud & grateful for what I do have. God bless.
I'm over it too, I do have one I drug from the old house so I kept it cause it's big, using old apt type fridge that was left until I get another one , but I did get the stove I wanted, black electric double oven and top oven has air fryer feature, so for now treat for my Birthday.
That should have said, isn't full of fancy things. So sorry.
The way you keep your home I wouldn't of know it was the project until you said something. You're home is GREAT!
This place is decorated lovely. She could be an interior designer this looks fabulous.
