They’ve added Havoc mode in past game where people have the same style of Jet packs with Jumping. Why couldn’t we have a game mode where we have it on all game. Uplink was a favorite playing with friends in college and we have talked about wanting it back so much.
Hear me out, the 3rd mode is Uplink WITH jetpacks. Switches back to boots on the ground for HP and SnD. This would be such a fun twist that adds variety
They could also play around with giving the player a double jump if they are holding the ball and close enough to the uplink. That way they don’t necessarily have to change flow of the game mode with a trampoline
Why doesn’t the portal have a trampoline. Right below it. Pushes you up. Simple stuff. Get rid of head glitch spots in back of the map. That’s all that’s needed
i’m pretty sure that stair glitch isn’t a big deal because it’s right next to a hop up. so when u jump up ur looking down at the player it looks pretty similar to just a normal prone
what if uplink had certain ranges that you could throw from to make it similar to the basketball 3 point shot. Like from a close range is 1 point, and long range is 3 points.
It would be interesting for gridiron, if when a user has the ball. They are able to jump higher. But only when holding the ball. It wouldnt be that OP considering you cant shoot with the ball. Just a thought.
Tbh with the new movement system and great devs they could create parkour spots in maps for clever uplink throws and have ramps spaced so that if you wanted to dunk you have to dive for it. It could definitely be done especially with the fast paced gameplay nowadays I’d really enjoy this
I think for control to work they need to use maps that will work for control. Also either adjust the time you get attacking or reduce the total amount of life’s to 25
Rab your take on choosing one random person after map two to check their pc is faded. They should do it every game. Checking al their pcs shouldn't even take 5 mins
I could potentially see some interesting plays depending on the map that would be based off positioning and passing. Think sub base ball drops mid and you pass it to top ac who then takes the shot or something similar.
Speaking of GA's, the idea that the pros GA'd single tap to sprint to increase the skill gap, but some of them are already talking about GA'ing omni movement is laughable!
Admittedly, it would probably look goofy as all fuck, but I would love to see if you could make uplink work by placing some sort of jump pad near the goals that could be used by defenders to block one pointers and by attackers to dunk it.

Just have the Uplink goal near and upper level part of the map so that jumping off and dunking is worth two shooting from down low is 1. But it rewards teams for risking the run up two a known dunking position that the other team would need to defend harder.

We dont need a 3rd mode. At all. SnD and HP is not only enough, its the perfect balance. Why water it down? Especially with something as mid as Control. Maybe they should give the higher seed (or the "home" team, at times) the option to either choose if they want 3 SnD or 3 HP in the series

I get most of the ga’s / understand the skill gap in CDL for things…but can someone please explain to me why single tap sprint is GA’d or looked at badly? Like I get why people thinks it’s less skilled mechanic, HOWEVER- it’s a very minute mechanic that surely all players can do with ease and it not actually effect their competitive play if everyone can do it right? Is it not just literally an easier way to sprint? Because the way I see it, in halo literally something like this is crucial for one, when they introduced this option to the game praise lord my sprint button has not broken since. You can’t sprint and shoot in halo and you can’t either in COD right? So why does it impact so much for the pros/ what advantage does it yield for movement so much that it was chosen to be GA’d?
What about a similar mode like payload from overwatch or safeguard from bo4. I think it can work in a sense kinda like the war mode in mw3 where u gotta escort the tank.

Karachi is bad for control as it is Offense favored. Since most objective points gives you defense in round 5 no control map should be Offense favored. It promotes bad play. Also not a single boots 4v4 control has been good since CW.
Pred was always the type to if happened to he will Pay Back to be even. i hope he figures it out, as for Cheating i feel like the game always give Faze cheese aim assist. because they are always looking mid kind of like OG movement except for cellium. might want to have all the pro's use new random accounts before the tournament starts.

Standy been using sound eq (self admitted) Nero uses ats and sound eq (not admitted zooma believes he is) that's just 3 of them. Lets be real Vegas, Miami, and many other teams during the qualifiers were stair glitching, snaking, sound eq, etc. At this point get rid of the online aspect and do all on lan so you don't have any server cheese going on and other stuff. Lan shows who is the best and not an onliner.
Remember when games like IW had a setting called CWL tuning (or something along those lines) where certain things that were not allowed were automatically disabled when that option was turned on... it's really not hard, it legit takes fuck all time to code a setting that will disable everything that is considered too OP for competitive integrity.

For uplink on a boots on the ground game. Have a grapple of sorts that everyone has access to, to be able to intercept the ball. Keep the portal in the air. Have a jump pad right below where it bounces you to the portal. Could have it like blitz where you teleport to your portal after scoring or keep it the same. For the grapple, maybe make it a toggle between your tacticle? Imagine being able to grab guns off the floor with the grapple too? I am genuinely interested in reading people's thoughts
I really enjoyed playing it. Wasn’t the best competitive mode to watch because it could easily get out of hand but there was also lots of good games as well when both teams were good at it.

The problem with a ramp is there is one way to get to it. With jet packs you can come at it in the air from any angle
The solution is bringing grapples back. That way it’s boots on the ground, but there are still crazy plays.
Maybe Uplink but with a Blitz portal and if you run the ball through the portal you get 2/3 and throwing it through gets you 1

im pretty sure the 6 star p3 hop up isn't acc a "stairglitch" because the only chall on it is on high ground and you're not actually hidden

One pointers too easy. Never would work without being able to intercept. It was a key back in the day to being good at uplink.
