The mission of the The Frederick Collection of Historical Grand Pianos, ca. 1790-1928, is to acquaint musicians and the concert-going public with the sounds of pianos of the types, and often the makes, familiar to and played by the major composers. Begun in October 1985 by co-curators Michael and Patricia Frederick, Ashburnham, MA, these fall and spring Historical Piano Concerts feature standard piano, chamber, and vocal repertoire from the late 18th through the early 20th centuries.
