This show is really growing on me. I just discovered Dick Masterson a couple weeks ago! What a treat ive found
go back and listen to the original show followed by every episode of the Dick Show. it will take a while but it's seriously the best show arc in existence.
Yeah, thats the thing, he could be funny at times, if he stuck to the comedy he was good at, kinda like what he did on his website.
Like even his more serious takes seem well reasoned and interesting for the most part.
The back and forth and audience jokes are what made the show.
The problem was that he was so messed up in the head, that he couldnt differentiate himself from his maddox character.
The end result being an insecure cuckold who threw tantrums behind the scenes if something didnt go his way.
Hes like an old woman now, with stupid woke LA takes that are the exact opposite of what he once stood for.

My dad would bring us to family video to rent a videogame that I would try to beat in the weekend. it was also the original "netflix n chill" was "we rented this horror movie for $3 we're going to watch it in the basement with the lights off dont come down there"

@@gualo21 there's a format of joke that mostly kids use where you are intentionally vague and say "it's under there" to make some ask "under where?" and then you say "ha! I made you say underwear!" At least that's how we did it when I was a kid. I think that's kind of what Dick was trying to do.
You should make a stylized version of the fanart and release it as the cover for the first issue. Make it reminiscent of the original photo of Chauvin and Floyd & take out the drug bag and don't say anything about it anywhere in the book. The image would be so striking that it would catch eyes of people just wondering what it's about.

I think Vito doesn't remember that that the main reason to go to a Blockbuster was to pirate the shit out of movies.
It was before the internet and getting a shitty VHS copy of a movie was the best we had back then. I fondly remember the time a local video store decided to rent PC games, i must have rented every one of them... good times... fuck i'm old.
Lol i totally did that too with pc games. They had a decent selection too, so for like 10 bucks i could get a game or two that i could just rip and crack and play forever.
Bonus if you were early and lucky enough to be able to snag a cd key for online play.
Most of the complaints over ai art is that the ai is just scraping existing art to make stuff without actually making anything.
It was made really clear when everyone on Art station started posting only "No AI" images and it started fucking up the AI scraper algorithms

Artists might honestly be the worst people to follow on the internet. If I see a TH-cam video I like, I know I can favorite it and it'll most likely be there 10 years later, even the channel may still be active with new content. Meanwhile artists will just wipe their whole galleries whenever they don't like their style anymore, when they're changing their name, when they're moving elsewhere, when they have a small issue with the site etc. Just now I saw someone post that they're deleting everything until there's some 'serious regulation for AI art' and until people get asked for permission and compensated for the art that's been sampled and so on, mind you, on a site that explicitly banned AI art. It's always so weird when you see an artist who looks like they know what they're doing and has managed to capitalize on their skill and popularity effectively. Good problem, Vito.
