Two years have passed. I'm still missing you even more than ever, this song was my favourite off of this album, and helped me start my journey to trying to become better. In two weeks and 4 days it'll be the anniversary to when I died in the hospital and came back to life. I'll never forget how much your death and music inspired me to keep on going, and how to begin my journey to where I am now I'm true happiness. As a person having the experience of living thru addiction and recovery I feel that his lyrics are more closely representative if someone beginning to enjoy and prefer recovery and sobriety.. there are obvious metaphors related to drugs but there are many, if not more comparisons and lines used that are lessons and feelings a person has only after getting away from drugs, by being able to see life and the world clearly and as it truly is. Not matter Mac's state of mind he truly was such an amazing artist and seemed to be a real, down to earth type person. I wish I wouldve had the opportunity to meet/smoke a blunt with him.. Truly and forever and Idol and strong influencer in my life... RIP Mac. The world loves and misses you dearly

Hate to bring bad news I got to see him in 2015 first guy in the door and he wouldn’t see anyone after the show which only had 1000 people. He flipped me off from him tour buss after the show because we wanted to see mac. Self care is a song that has successfully done this for me. This song is my second favorite on the album, but this whole album is one of his best. I love you Mac Miller. I first discovered Mac when me and my dad had got a loaner vehicle due to our car being in the shop. It was this pick up truck, and it had like 6 burnt cd’s with Mac’s music on it. We asked the guy who owned the truck who he was and he told us he wasn’t well known but he had a concert in town a couple days before we got the truck. Anyways the whole time we had that truck (about 2 days) all we listened to was Mac. Thank you Mac for that memory. I was just listening to your music when my dad reminded me of this. Man I loved Mac ever since he first came on the scene as a 19 year old kid. Just a year younger than me. There’s a select 5-10 songs prior to Swimming that will always be some of my favorites of all time that being me feelings of nostalgia. But this album tops them ALL. I can say confidently that it’s my favorite album of all time. His final album shows just how much he matured as an artist. This is a masterpiece beginning to end. He took that whole “frat rap” criticism to heart after KIDS and grew and grew and grew - and he was JUST BEGINNING his maturation as an artist. I’m heartbroken. 2 weeks later. We asked the guy who owned the truck who he was and he told us he wasn’t well known but he had a concert in town a couple days before we got the truck. Anyways the whole time we had that truck (about 2 days) all we listened to was Mac. Thank you Mac for that memory. I was just listening to your music when my dad reminded me of this. Man I loved Mac ever since he first came on the scene as a 19 year old kid. Just a year younger than me. There’s a select 5-10 songs prior to Swimming that will always be some of my favorites of all time that being me feelings of nostalgia. But this album tops them ALL. I can say confidently that it’s my favorite album of all time. His final album shows just how much he matured as an artist. This is a masterpiece beginning to end. He took that whole “frat rap” criticism to heart after KIDS and grew and grew and grew - and he was JUST BEGINNING his maturation as an artist. I’m heartbroken. 2 weeks later. Damn, I always pictured Mac Miller as someone with a tough shell; he was an inspiration for people over coming adversity. He always bounced back from the darker moments in his life a little bit stronger and a litte bit wiser. I am truely schocked and saddened by his passing RIP

I think the people he was partying with were more interested in staying out of jail then saving his life. Mac Miller od'ed and his "friends" bought time he didn't have to hide their drugs. That kind of shit happens all the time. His birthday song gave me the impression he wised up and stopped wasting his time on self interested people; I guess not.
One of those songs I never get tired of because the beat and melody are sublime and Mac is just so raw and open. It’s a masterpiece in my eyes (or ears to be more accurate)

As soon as it transitioned from "Come Back to Earth" to this song, I just started crying uncontrollably. To me, this song was Mac telling us that 'I'm rich now, but my mental problems are still there'. RIP Mac Miller. 🕊
