      That doesn't mean you have no culture, let me educate you, every country across the world have defferent tribes with their defferent culture, why are we condemning our own, Yorubas have been communicating with God before the foreign religion. Iluwo is sell the Yorubas to the Arabs through the Northerners because of money and before we realized if we don't refuse him now, there will be war in our land.

      SAULA HAKEEM ADEBAYO.
      The Iwo people are stupid people, for them to watch this drug addict selling the thrown of their father land, this Oluwo went and brought a total stranger to the palace as Olori selling Iwo out for the Fulanis, the Hausas who owns the Northern Nigeria open their eyes wide as the Fulanis came like a friend till they took their land from them, Afonja was a traitor to Alafin Oyo because of post, now Ilorin is ruled and taking over by Fulanis, now if Iwo people didn't chase this drug addict out of Iwo, they will be sorry very soon.
      Iwo people can't embrace trouble and they will later call all Yorubas to come and die for them.
      It's not too late to take action.

    If don't like Yorubas cultures why do you the chief tancy. How many times have you seen Hausa Fulanis talking openly to rubbish their own tribe's, common sense, sometimes he talk sense but shouldn't be openly.

      Proverbs 27:5 'open rebuke is better than secret love.'
      By saying it out loudly, he has let the world know that Yorubas are not fetish people who only curse people who don't agree with them or believe in what they believe.
      He said in one of his interviews that obaship should not be about cursing people or taking farmlands from poor people and selling them to foreigners, but it's about finding solutions to problems bedeviliing their people.
      Oluwo is an imperfect person but he is right that religion is not what defines you as a yoruba person, and religion be it Christianity, Islam or Paganism, Agnosticism or Atheism shouldn't be about issuing curses that only go back to the sender.

    I am on the same page with TELU II on this:
    Religion is not what defines you as a yoruba person; it is the culture and traditions.
    These cultures, such as respect for the elders, types of name, tribal marks, types of food eaten and mode of dressing, sometimes are practiced along with religion, for example, respect for the elders which is nothing wrong but today has been used by politicians, traditional rulers and religious leaders to oppress the masses.
    The 'leaders never wrong' culture
    Everything the leaders do is right, such as selling the farmlands of the poor people to foreigners, including mortgaging the destinies of the unborn generations, but that is changing because the people are rebelling against all that rubbish today; our mumu don du.
    A Yoruba person is not a yoruba person because he/she is a Christian, a muslim or a worshipper of orisha even though there is this saying by yoruba people that ''aba kuku fi orisha sile, k'ama bo ori"
    This means let us stop worshipping the idols and effigies instead; let us worship the Creator God. "
    Reading Bible, Worshipping God or praying to God in the name of Jesus, Reading Quran, praying 5 times a day, going to Mecca, observing radamadan fasting, giving zakat, belief in the Holy Prophet Mohammed as the last prophet of Allah, Bowing down to images of holy Mary, sango, ogun, obatala, oya, osun, iyemoja, offering sacrifice to ancestral gods, making incarntations, ritual killings, human sacrifices, etc are all religious practices that have nothing to do with being a yoruba person.
    A yoruba person can be an atheist, an agnostic, a Christian, a Muslim, an idol worshipper, or he can even combine all the above.
    It is wrong to lord any kind of religion on the totality of the people as their ancestors' religion.
    The idol worshipping was never the first religion of mankind; it is a false claim.
    These things that the people called our first religion today were some human brings that lived in some centuries past, some of them in the 14th/15th century.
    The question begging for answers now is, before ogun, sango, oya, osun, obatala etc (who lived in the centuries past) existed, what was that Deity that our forefathers worshipped?
    Oduduwa himself never worshipped all these things, so what was the form of religion of oduduwa?
    Like Oluwo said, Yoruba didn't have written accounts of their past history; they depend only on oral account, which sometimes are concocted.
    There are conflicting accounts of the origin of the yoruba race.
    One bogus account said the progenitor of yoruba race 'lamurudu' fell down from the sky.
    Another account said that they migrated from Mecca.
    Another account said they came from Syria.
    Another account said that they were originally from a people called Hadanddawa in Sudan; this account seemed more credible because the people also are black, and they have the types of tribal marks usually found on the Oyo people.
    Another account said that oduduwa was a Benin prince, etc.
    In recent times also, we have been told that the yoruba race was the first human beings that God created.
    The first major religion of mankind world over was judaism ✡️ which gave birth to Christianity ⛪and Islam 🕋and then came the paganism.
    It will forever be on record that Tellu II is the first yoruba first class oba to set this record straight.
    Today, religion has been confused for culture, just as personal opinions and doctrines have been confused for holiness in Christisnity.
    We have new conditions for going to heaven that pastors have given, such as Pay your tithes or refuse and go to hell, Don't wear jeans, Don't perm your hair, Don't watch TV because it is a satanic box, etc.
    All of these are no marks of true Christianiy.
    Islam or Christianity doesn't support human sacrifices or incarntations; any alfa or pastor doing it is mixing things up.
    There have been lots of mix-up that are now being clarified.
    Pastors who do rituals are not true followers of Christ; they are idol worshippers.
    Oluwo is clearing the air on the confusion about yoruba culture and traditional religion.
    He is a bold, phenomenal yoruba king doing a fantastic job by separating yoruba culture from religion.

      .....after marriage with emir daughter and turn himself to emir in Yoruba land. Too much grammar have distroyed our lovely land. Oluwo of Iwo want everything in Yoruba land but not the job. Kingship in Yoruba land should be scrap also and stop bowing for Obas, he skipped that.

    • @oe6526
      @oe6526 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @gboluwaga laditi You are right to an extent; that is why I called him an imperfect person!
      Nevertheless, bowing down to oba is a choice; if you don't go to them, how are you going to bow?
      Did you ever see governors bow to them?

    • @gboluwagaladiti3531
      @gboluwagaladiti3531 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oe6526 Yes! Your religion is also your choice. No king should impose or tell any Yoruba person or promoting a religious over the other. It a divisional tactics to keep dividing us in Yoruba land. Vocus on unity and killings by the politicians and how to save us as a Yoruba people within snaky environment is more important.
      Since we're christian or Muslim millions of Yoruba children have been killed and they keep using religion to enslave us in our land. We need to wise-up man!

    • @oe6526
      @oe6526 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @gboluwaga laditi he is not forcing his religion on the people; he is simply saying, as long as he remains the oluwo of iwo, he is not going to sit in a palace that is a glorified museum.
      For many years, the erroneous belief was that everything about Yoruba or obaship is worshipping idols, ritual killings, etc.
      By the way, do you know that it was this same ancestral gods that twins were being slaughtered to appease in Calabar for centuries until Mary Slessors - the missionary from Scotland fought tooth and nail to abolish it in 1784?
      When the woman told them to stop sacrificing these innocent babies to their ancestors, the ignoramuses kicked against it; they said she wanted to destroy African culture and religion. But today, the twins are grateful to the woman of God; they called her their heroine.
      That is what Oluwo is saying: whether the man is 'foolish' or not, I leave it to you to determine, but he has won my heart♥️
      The man is a new breed
