Wowwwww. Dude, did you really have to leave those fishes on shore? Not to hate, but those stripers are small. You could have at least release them back and let them grow. Disappointing to see what you did there.
Lol. I take my limit and release everything else. I will make a montage of me releasing fish if that's what makes you happy. I wouldn't waste fish by leaving them to die when I want to go back and catch those same fish and for generations in the future to catch them as well.
If everyone else has that mentality , then there won't any big fish to catch!! Release them for future generations to enjoy. There is plenty of other food to eat without ruining the fishery. Just saying !
great video. I see nothing wrong in how you handle your fish. people love to hate and assume the worst about people instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. I can tell your a very experienced fisherman and that you know your tackle. not to many people know to fish San Luis reservoir, I used to go up there all the time from Sunnyvale back in my youth. Great lake but can get pretty windy. Have you tried using bigger lures??
I've realized after uploading a few videos that there will be haters. I don't mind it. They're just concerned. I've tried big lures a few times but I always go back to throwing jerkbaits cause it's more consistent for me. But this fall I've got a swimbait set up ready to throw. Water has been super low and there's guys catching 20#ers on shrimp. I haven't been out there since June. I'll be out there when the water Capacity reaches about 30 percent and the walk isn't so far.
Any rod will work. For this video I used a crank bait rod. 6'9" medium power moderate action. It's a great rod for lures with treble hooks. Keeps the fish pinned even when they go on runs. I'd say a 7 ft med heavy casting or spinning set up will work at this lake.
The limit is two fish per person 18" or larger.
loving this intro man unique unlike others subscribed!
good work bro. looks like a fun area.
I thought San Luis limite was two only!!!
Beautiful spot!
