Im so glad you're talking about this topic. It's something eyeshadow lovers especially struggle with. There have been so many beautiful palettes that have recently launched (the Ensley reign land of enchantment & the simply posh Aurora Borealis) that i want so badly but i know i own these shades many times over! What i do is build a dupe palette to show myself that i do not need these beautiful palettes because i already own the colors! It doesn't always work... But most of the time it does! 😅
Just watched your video earlier today where you pulled out all of the pans by color. I pretty much stopped buying palettes in 2022 because of this. Once I started resisting new releases, it got easier and I also stopped watching videos on them. I’ve given away so many and am trying to keep only what I love and will use. I could wear green everyday and be happy so that is helping my decision, because I have a LOT of greens.
It actually what happened with Muse,turns out I have a lot of similar shades.But the weird thing is I figured it out only after pulling and sorting the shades,how come?
@@the-Artup I think like you mentioned the background, and also the colors next to them, as well as our brains convincing us that there are differences.

I try to do the same, but on top of that I add washi tape on my zip pallet to imitate the vibe!!!
