- A 1981 DeLorean sat in a Wisconsin barn for almost 20 years. Not only was this DeLorean in prime condition with its original tires, it had also barely been driven. Since 1981, the engine had only racked up 977 miles. The iconic DeLorean will forever be associated with the "Back to the Future" movie franchise. The Delorean Motor Company was an American manufacturer that opened in 1975. By the time the first "Back to the Future" movie was released, the original owner had gone bankrupt.
Best kept secret within the State of Wisconsin..
Congratulations to the Family who owns this beautiful vehicle
there's another one within a 50 mile radius of Eau Claire Wisconsin inside an abandoned building. has 18K miles on it and is covered in dust.

@boldmovers6707
Things that make me say hmm 🙂 thank you for telling me..I had no idea
Two vintage vehicles that's awesome for Wisconsin ✨✨
@@boldmovers6707how much they want?! 🤣😩
looks more like a guy running a business. he seems to have many already.. hes likely collecting them so he ca nsell them for more money
I don't think he would sell it 🤷🏻♀️ just saying is all
“Will only take you as far back as the 80s”
I’m ok with that
The 80s were ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. The music ( UK and USA). The t.v.shows were hilarious. Everytime i hear a song from the 80s , i start reminiscing.
I wish I could back in time to live in the 80’s
That's quite a lot actually. (more than the 30 years in the movie, in fact)
🤣🤣🤣🙌
Same here friend...
The headquarters of DeLorean is in a small town called Humble, in Texas, next to the intercontinental airport. They still recondition and sell them there. It's the largest DeLorean dealership in the world. Humble was also the home of Humble Oil Company, now ExxonMobil, and also Texaco, and is also the birthplace of Howard Hughes.
They Also had one in Hialeah, Florida
Thank you for that dose of knowledge 😊
There is a building of science and engineering classes at my alma mater named after Howard Hughes. I can tell he's a NV resident like me.
I've been to the airport last year when my youngest brother was transferring to a trade school in FL all of a sudden.😥
@@daveotuwa5596 Fl is beautiful
As a huge DMC fan and who gets all the emails for the new parts / upgrades you can make with this insanely easy to manage and fix vehicle, this makes me jealous! Congrats on such a great find!!!
I thought you were talking about Devil My Cry when you said DMC lol

Maybe the DeLorean was still in Peabody’s barn from when Marty crashed into it in 1955.
They found an alien body shaped as a human near it
No one thinks that the new DeLorean reminds them of the original DeLorean, except the gull-wing doors. The reason why Hyundai N Vision 74 looks like the original DeLorean is because N Vision 74 is the remake of 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupe that was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro who later, designed the original DeLorean. This is one of the biggest reasons why many DeLorean fans love it. It has a huge connection with the original designer. Now, if it came with gull-wing doors, the transformation would be complete.
I literally just commented that the N Vision 74 looks more like a DeLorean than the new DeLorean lmao
The luck to find one in such good condition is just wow 😮
Good condition? 🤣 Don't know what's under all that dust and dirt! 🤣
@@KevinSmith-fw5tb dust and dirt is nothing honestly
@@KevinSmith-fw5tb Well one thing for sure is that the paint won't go bad on a DMC-12.
What a beautiful find 🚗
in a barn?! thats crazy im sure alot is wrong with it since it sat so long
Yeah, mice love farms and they also love chewing on electrical wiring.
There's another guy on TH-cam who found one sitting for over 30 years. Mold, rust, bad fluids, and mice.
I often wonder when "alot" will become an actual word.
In "alittle" while, perhaps?
@@daryllect6659 Hopefully never
It may be a crappy car, but I would still love to own one someday. Gives me some cool 80s vibes.
Only kids who think speeding down the street is cool think it's a crappy car, grown adults understand how cool it REALLY is
@@draculastraphouse7863 no, its still a slow and crappy car
@@sigmamale4147That's super easy to fix, luckily. The stock V6 was literally trash, I think a company that restores these uses a similar but more powerful engine.
@@JackFoxtrotEDM an engine swap is not a super easy fix
@@sigmamale4147 its better than your honda civic
The Delorean Motor Company was NOT an American manufacturer as you stated. All the original cars were built in Ireland. John Delorean hated unions and wanted to make them cheap. They were cheaply made alright.
I want one so bad, I saw the one from back to the future in person and became obsessed.
I see one in NH near where we live driving around now and then. But, we also have the Scooby-Doo van and Bat man's car here too. 😅
Great Scott!
Now that’s what I call a Barn Yard Find!
Ironic it was in a barn for years Marty crashed the DeLorean in a barn and they thought he was alien and the car a spaceship 😂
The barn belonged to “Old man Peabody owned all of this. He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees.”
Beautiful! I've always loved the car.😊👍
The story of DeLorean is much more romantic than riding in one
Indeed so. Reality is they were garbage.
And just like the movie, they all had problems with the starter
I guess the original didn't even do a 1000 mile oil change too then
Oh wait, likely 42 year old engine oil? OH NO...
These 80s and 90s cars look so much better than all the melted jellybeans we call ''Cars'' today....
people can mess with the mileage to make it less miles
One of these passed by me a year ago. Man is it beautiful
One of my dream cars to own
I was treated to a short drive in a DMC once. I was 6'0" 155 lbs at the time. It was not easy to get in and out of. I bumped my head and knee. Once in I felt I had a limited view of the surroundings. I fit in the seat quite nicely. I'd rather drive my compact car.
Awesome find
My favorite car ever
That's a good find 💯
Time to get that car up to 88 mph and travel through time
Don’t matter if it has low miles. It has still SAT there for YEARS.
There you have it folks. The Delorian goes almost 1.000 miles before it craps out. Better than most.😊
Im not gonna lie that thumbnail made whats left of my brain fall out of my head
Ive been wanting one of these since I was a kid.
I Love ❤️ The 80's.
No matter what, that is classic and amazing
Damn.. I'm Glad For The person Who can afford this. ❤ i wish and praying that someday i can afford a simple car for my family.
Great scott! I gotta get one of those! But the price, oh this is heavy can you imagine this was found on sunday? Talk about timing
No way, its only been driven for 11 hours. Like new.
It just got sent back from Hill Valley, 2015
"why is the mileage so low?"
"HE COULD NEVER GET IT STARTED!!!"
So it was in Doc’s barn the whole time! I knew it.
Doc Brown: "Astounding!"
DeLorean was an American car company headquartered in Northern Ireland.
That car belongs in a museum!
What? It's a historically relevant car.
:)
Preservation is paramount ❤
I wonder how many times doc went back to the future or past to storage the DeLorean time machine
Plot twist. This was the barn Marty crashed into when the kid thought he was an alien in a UFO
“It looks like an airplane, without wings!”
I almost thought this story was going to be about LSC delorean. His car has come a long way
Any vehicle that has been sitting a long time will have brittle gaskets and will leak fluid at every spot on the engine, transmission, etc.
"GREAT SCOTT!"
Quoted by Doctor Emmett Brown
😮😮 ... great Scott !!...
I vote Back to the Future 4 with the OG cast reunion
Fun fact! In BTTF, they go back to the good ole' days of 1955 which is 30 years in the past. Today,. we'd go back...to *1990* for the same effect.
Would love to see it nice & clean 😍
They found the DeLorean!
I wish I could go back to the 80's
Low miles is cool, but would probably still be seized up and need a rebuild including all the rubber hoses and gaskets. By the time they can make this run it'll mostly be a new engine anyway
I want one that looks like the original. They need to remake it
Looking forward to the all-new De Lorean release in 2024.
@LegitStreetCars buy this one too?
whoa didnt know they’re remaking it for 2024! thats awesome!!
Fantastic icon😊 congratulations
Marty must have hidden it & forgot where He parked.
I've seen Lambos, Ferraris and all types of exotic cars. But, none have had an impression on me like the De Lorean. I'm not talking about the "Back to the Future" ones, I'm referring to the original, factory De Lorean.
I need a Delorean
Didnt realize those were from 81. I thought 85 or so. Must have looked crazy in 81 comparatively.
“Oh there’s where I left my DeLorean!”
Wow so low mileage really impressive but it was just kept in a barn
Legit street cars dream
That's a Rare Car they should make 1B more
*This is heavy!*
Make sure they replace the air system, if you purchase that vehicle.
Dam car is in nice shape from wisconsin it away cold btw hi from wisconsin
Just start making the old Deloreaon again.
I just looked in my barn.. no car.
Back to the future with a dozen of DeLorean’s
You got a Flux capacitor? Flying circuits on you? Because where we're going we don't need roads😊
is it a performance machine? HELLL NOO
is it beautiful? hell yes :>
What if the Doc left it there for Marty to find it out later, as he did leave the delorean from 1885 to 1955? What if we have messed up the timeline?
The best Delorean was that in the Ready Player One movie.
Can it still go 88mph?
Good thing the owner went back in time and turn the miles back in doing so😂
why does the car seat leather looks likes someone has been sitting on it past 40 years, something is fishy
how much is it worth ?
Restored 100k typically 80k for one with more miles 35k or less for one that needs hundreds of hours of restoration
Don’t change anything on the car
Doc Brown: When this baby hits 88 Miles per hour…
It stayed here for 32 years... Doc Brown
Didn’t they already debut the revamped DeLorean in the fast and furious X movie?
Could have had an adjusted odometer. Youll never know.
Awesome
Technically, BTTF part 3 Delorean was a barn find.
Sat for 20 year's in a barn but I wonder what happened with the other 20 something year's to have low miles on it?
Yeah
. Im.gonna need that to get back to 1987.. I call it.
Fresh fluids, and every piece of rubber needs to be done over
Forza barn find
He was clocking the mileage on the car. It’s actually done ALOT more miles. 🤦♂️
Technically, I guess you could say a time traveled (had a completely normal pace over several decades)
Not the rare "barn find" that all car collectors dream of.
Brodie really bought a deluxe IRL
How many years on the flux capacitor?
PARETO PRINCIPLE: 20% of sold DeLoreans will be driven with 80% of maximal mileage.🚙
The barn mice probably enjoyed the tasty wiring cables.
