I purchased this product yesterday and patched tested it last night. This morning, I used it on my face and neck for the first time. This is one seriously hydrating and moisturising but non greasy product ❤
I will definitely be purchasing this! I am obsessed with The Ordinary, especially after the release of their retinal, which I use daily and have noticied a HUGE improvement in my skin texture and hyperpigmentation.
@@jnk7952 it is The Ordinary Retinaldehyde 0.2% Emulsion. It's not a retinol, it's a retinal, just one letter difference, but a much stronger product! As of this time, it is the best value on the market for an over-the-counter retinoid product, both in strength and price. I definitely recommend it for someone who is not ready or not able to get a prescription for tretinoin, but take all of the advice seriously about starting slowly and letting your skin get used to it. It packs a punch!
I truly appreciate your very detailed reviews and personal feedback regarding the ordinary products. You’re definitely my go to before I purchase new skin care products! Thank you!
Had just watched you talk about this too. Definitely between you both I'm convinced. I'm out of a bunch of skincare items atm but will be adding this to my list when it comes out. Tbh tho, wish they'd given it a different "name". Lol. I have a hard time remembering all of their products with such crazy names. Lol
I received an email just this morning announcing this launch, and I immediately thought of you. I wondered if you would be reviewing this so soon. Then I went over to TH-cam and there you were. Serendipitous.....no? Anyway, I'm excited to try this especially since your positive review. BTW you don't sound nasal and just feel better. 😊
I use the Aloe and NAG and it really makes my skin look bright and happy...I don't really know why, but I love it. I added this in my basket for my next order. I just love The Ordinary brand. It did take me a while to figure out all the ingredients and what the ingredients do. Videos like yours really helps to educate us, thanks for sharing your experiences!
I love this new toner! I just bought it, so I haven’t seen results on fading acne marks, but it feel so good, and moisturizing on my skin. I think this will be a long term product for me! ❤️
Hey Ashley, just watched your review about this toner… it is a very interesting product for me with extremely sensitive skin (that doesn’t tolerate any exfoliant). I’m just worried about the yeast extract, because every time I used some fermented ingredients in the past my skin reacted very badly. It’s a pity there’s no mini to buy to try the product first…😢
I just brought this im thinking of trying it out on my psoriasis i have on my hands what with hydrating and exfoliating in theory it should help. Thanks for the great review ❤
I've used the NAG & aloe for a couple of months but I can't say I've seen some results... But on the other hand it didn't irritate my super sensitive skin.
I recall reading that Cleopatra took milk baths. I guess if it was good enough for her undoubtedly from what her skin looked like it worked . I am going to try this one
I am so excited to try this! I came running to your channel when I saw this released. I am curious how this compares to the Ilia face base milk and the Pharmacy honey milk essence. Love that you love this - will definitely be buying it!
Aw I am so happy to hear that.. I have the Ilia Face Base and it's very similar in terns of hydration but Ilia doesn't exfoliate. It's very gentle and it does brighten up the complexion👍🏻
I’m getting this!! Thanks! Love the Ordinary! You got me started on the Ordinary YEARS ago Ashley😘 Ok what white eye pencil do you use for your bottom water line? I ALWAYS LOVE your makeup🥰
Aw I am so happy to hear that Tina! Thank you so much for your sweet words 💗🥰 I am currently using the Sweed Eyeliner for the waterline: go.shopmy.us/p-5007460
Thanks for reviewing this! On the ordinary’s website it says we can use this toner twice a day. I thought toners were only supposed to be once or twice a week? Twice a day makes me think it’s not as strong enough as their other toners/exfoliators. Any thoughts on this? Also, love your hair!!!!! 🩶🤍🩶🤍
Aw thank you so much for your kind words. This Milky Toner can definitely be used once or twice a day and toners can be used often depending on their formulation. The formula of this Milky Toner is very gentle (like VERY gentle) especially from my experience with it but it's also very hydrating so you could use this more often. Toners that contain stronger actives like Glycolic Acid etc, these could be more irritating and may be used less during the week depending on skin sensitivity.
Where in the routine should this be used? I just started using it the other day and the woman where I bought it told me to use it after my routine...that didn't make sense to me, so I used it after my oil cleanser and then moisturized. Curious to know whether it matters and if I can continue using my Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and whether I'd use it before or after. Thanks!
I have been using this for the last three days and so far I ❤ it!! So hydrating, yet matifying and skin softening!! I literally want to rewash my face just so I can apply it again! Question - how do you compare it to your favorite NIOD mist?? Do you use them together? I honestly am ditching my other toners now…lol
lol too funny. It really is a lovely toner... Yes, I apply it on top of the NIOD mist. They truly don't compare as they are completely different but the pairing is great together 👌🏻
Radiance, dewy, uneven skin tone…this toner is speaking to me 😂. Thank you for trying this out. Post acne…more like melasma is my problem. 😂❤ Is there a discount code OR just clicking on your link is good? Thanks
Right?! The radiance is real👌🏻 I wish I had an Ordinary discount code to provide but the link provided is commissionable link to the product where I earn a small commission🥰 Of course, no pressure though to click on the link.. .
Unfortunately The Ordinary and NIOD prohibits discounts from ANY vendor except for their own annual November sale. Not even Sephora can offer a discount during their sales😑
Im going to start on retinal..slowely of course and at night, i would like to keep using som azelic acid aswell. I find it drying though its working for my redness. How do you think this will play with those 2 on conjested, dry, textured, red skin with broken capillaries 😊
Using Retinal and Azeliaic Acid could possibly cause more dryness for some skin types. I have combo skin and this pairing is never an issue but since you have dry skin it may cause additional flakiness but then again maybe not. It's worth a try but this pairing can improve texture. I don't believe they will improve broken capillariess as laser is generally needed depending on severity.
Hello, may I know if I combine this with the new Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 will make the skin over hydrated and, especially with the oily skin, will easy to have acnes?
i heard from Cassandra ordinary was cooking something... well i am not sure it is for me though :/ looks nice....but kind redundant on my routine. I can use the tougher exfoliants. Although i dearly appreciate aloe+nag and it could be a better alternative? I like the packing and milky products in general so cool. You are very pretty btw
Thank you so much for your kind words🥰 The milky toner may not be suited for everyone but it sure is a lovely formulation and I love how unique it is. It possibly could be a better alternative to the Aloe + NAG 😊
Hey ashley, would you say you could use this daily and it’s good enough to go in place of lactic acid which I was going to introduce once a week to start with for the exfoliation but if I was to get this would it be enough exfoliation or would u still recommend to use a lactic acid for exfoliation if that makes sense ? Thank you 💗
Yes! You can use it daily as well as 2x a day if tolerated. It's very gentle and doesn't exfoliate like a traditional exfoliant like a Lactic, Glycolic Acid etc. It does however improve texture and tone so you may really like this instead of Lactic Acid but if you really wanted, you could pair this up with Lactic Acid as well as there are no conflicts with this toner. You could also incorporate Lactic Acid a few times per week and this toner on the other days.
@@SincerelyMissAsh thank you so much. This is what I was thinking maybe lactic acid just separate on another couple days a week for a deeper exfoliation so I may do that use this other days when I’m using copper peptides and my retinol and on days I use lactic acid use just amino acid for hydration and lactic acid for exfoliation and that’s it’s . Thank you so much watching all your videos has really helped me put together a skincare routine from the ordinary what to mix and what not to for beginners etc. I have an order on the way just hoping my skin is ok 🤞 so thank you so much I’m very grateful for you making these videos much love 🫶🏼💗
According to The Ordinary there are no conflicts with this toner so you could try incorporating it with other exfoliating products but if you do for any reason experience dryness then keep them separate. I use it with everything and it has never caused issues.
According to The Ordinary it can be used twice a day. I was using this twice a day to start with and never experienced any irritation as this is very gentle and hydrating. One could experience irritation depending on skin sensitivity so you could start with once a day or a few times a week and then increase usage once you know how your skin adjusts to it. This exfoliant is not like an AHA (Glycolic/Lactic Acid) this is way more gentle.
I use the Milky Toner before Tretinoin or let's say before The Ordinary Retinal. You would use this as a toner so after cleansing and before serums/moisturizer/ sunscreen. This is very hydrating so it could definitely help hydrate the skin when using Tretinoin. It may not prevent the flakiness from your Retin-A but it could help eliminate some of it
I purchased this product yesterday and patched tested it last night. This morning, I used it on my face and neck for the first time. This is one seriously hydrating and moisturising but non greasy product ❤
