- Short video. Backpacking trip to Mt Rainier’s Sunrise Trails in Washington State. Incredible wildlife and stunning vistas. This bear was not aggressive. Caution still needs to be taken. The mountain goats are wild and have attacked people in the past. Some are friendly enough to get close to people. These particular animals are probably used to seeing people, since it’s a national park and they are protected. This bear was about 1/4 of a mile from where we camped.
Can you tell me what trail this was on in Sunrise?
ThePinkWolf_Roya it was on the first Burroughs trail, going clockwise. From the visitor center we went across the parking lot down a little ways towards Mt Rainier. Most people go up to the right, counter clockwise.
@@rcruzriovista is there any Cougar population around Mt Rainer? I wish one time in my life I can see a Cougar in the wild, my favorite North American species
@@twostop6895 I know! I wish I could see one too. There’s a healthy cougar population, but I’ve never seen one. I’m in a cougar sightings group on FB and they post pictures of them from trail cameras all the time. Usually they see us before we see them.
