You really brought life into that kaval :) I was thinking of making my own out of bamboo to give the instrument a try, since I've never played one. May I ask what the Moldavian scale is, like if I were to make it in B for example. Thanks for putting this out there!

Love the sound of the Moldivian Kaval. Are you still making these?
I actually make transverse bamboo flutes and have made a couple of shakuhachi flutes.
You may know, is it the same formula to worknout the note position on the Kaval as it is on the Shakuhachi?

Hallo Robin, we kunnen het in het Nederlands bespreken. Ik zou zeker een F kaval voor je kunnen bouwen. Dit is wel een hele grote kaval waarvoor je minimaal mijn postuur voor moet hebben. Zo'n grote kaval met bindingen kost 180,- euro. Beter is dat je me even belt dan kunnen we zien of zo'n formaat bij je past. Ik ben ook nieuwsgierig naar je intententies. Ik bouw zo wie zo geen fluiten voor mensen zonder contact met ze hebben gehad. Dit neem ik dan mee in het bouw proces. ik ben te bereiken op 0031642073703 Met hartelijke groet, Henk
