Playing an unfit Shaheen was a big mistake. Looks like he was picked purely based on his pre-injury performances. He was poor against India too. Also, Pakistan didn't put up a fight v. ZIM, Waqar was right there. Lack of killer instinct. You need impact players who can pull strings in clutch moments. Condolences to the fans. Best wishes for the remaining games. Love from India.
Shaheen is a good bowler no doubt but other than that one extraordinary opening over against India he hasn't done or won many matches for Pakistan
@@arunsrivatsa7155 it’s Pakistan where we love to live in past glory. Shaheen bowls one length, which is full and swinging back in, that’s ok in Karachi or dubai or even Leeds but not in OZ. You’ve to hit the deck hard as a bowler in Australia and use your height for extra bounce from good or slightly back of a length. Ideally Shaheen should have played first class cricket to get back into his rhythm and hasnain should have played in this World Cup as he hits the deck hard and bowls at a good pace.

No! by saying so you are discrediting the wonderful fielding done and amazing circket played by Zimbabwe.Zimbabwe kept the pressure constantly on Pak and even some field placements and Captaincy by Zimbabwe were lacking some good thoughts, still Pakistan couldn't manage to come out of the pressure. As usual, Pakistani top order and middle order were not upto the Mark. Irwin was good enough to propel the innings , had he not been out on an easy ball. Overall, it was wonderful display by Zimbabwe. Pakistan was never in the game. They kept loosing the wickets on regular interval and they were not able to score in any over except 2-3 overs. Congratulations Zimbabwe you deserved to be winner and your standard is good .Just improve your batting and u'll do wonders and miracles

BCCI are the big stack bullies and are operating in a way that is anticompetitive (I suppose anyone at the top will) but this is where the ICC needs to take a firm stand. Their job is to grow the sport. Reducing matches against associate teams, especially in T20, is sure to take us back to the grand old days of bilateral series. You want that again?

Pakistan needed 40 runs from 5+ overs with 5 wickets in hand. Nawaz could bat, and even if they lost a couple of wickets both Afridi and Harris can bat. But they did not even make an attempt to play any shots, failed to convert singles to fairly easy 2s. The middle order was happy to just keep on nudging the ball. They played too cautiously. 40 from 30 was perfectly doable. They left it too late, and that put enormous pressure on the tailenders to slog blindly into the air instead of allowing the tail to play for safe singles, doubles and occasional boundaries.

They have a 50-50 win loss ratio against India since 2017. That's not fluke. India has the highest win ratio in t20s of any team in the world (close to 70% and mostly against top teams.) For Pakistan to win every alternate game against India is no small feat. They have skills. Even the last game against India was very close, touch and go. The only reason why they lost today is because they just played over cautiously between overs 14 and 18 when the game was heavily in their favor.
Pakistan middle order need to play attacking cricket.
All they needed was 2 big overs between 10 and 17th over and it would have been a easy chase.

Another issue is in all these matches specially in Asia Cup and against England, when we won we won last over thrillers and very close games but when we lost we lost with huge margins. Against England the final result was 4-3 in favor England but it could have been 6-1 as games 4 and 5 went Pakistan's way because they got lucky in both the matches.
World cup is not over and embarrassment is not over as well.
