TOA (Transmit Overtime Alarm) function With the TOA function enabled, when the TOT function is active and the radio reaches arrives within the preset transmission time limit (TOT), you will hear a sound of alarm. There are 10 levels of TOA, with 1 second of separation between one and the other. If you set level 1, you will hear the tone alarm 1 second before the end of the transmission; setting level 2 you will hear a warning tone 2 seconds before the end of the transmission and so on right away.
The click isn't between UHF and VHF - it's clicking between the A transceiver and B Transceiver. I hear the click even if both are set to frequencies on the UHF band.
Channel programming: - Press * on the microphone or V/M on the radio to select "frequency" mode (only displays VFO frequency) - program the frequency and offset, CTCSS codes, channel width using MENU 1.11, 1.12, 1.10, 1.2 etc. - Press FUN on the microphone and use the arrows to select the channel you want to save. "Cover" will overwrite the memory, "Save" will create a new entry. - Press * on the microphone or V/M on the radio to select "memory" mode (displays channel number, name and frequency) - Press FUN on the microphone, select SET (or press 3) and then submenu 3.21 "Name edit" - Use the up and down arrows to select letters and # or * to change the position of the letter in the name - Press FUN to remember the name Deleting a channel: - Press FUN on the microphone, select SET (or press 3) and then submenu 3.20 "Delete Ch" - Use the up and down arrows to select the channel number to be deleted and press FUN to confirm
Can't get this to work. After setting up the channel in VFO mode pressing FUN again puts you back into the menu and there doesn's seem to be a way to add the channel to memory

Thank you Kevin, very good video and am all set up with the programmed channels ready to install when radio arrives tomorrow. The software was so fast and easy to download and set up in less than a minute. 73 GW3XJQ
I'm trying to change the shift direction through the radio without software but it's not showing that setting. It only goes to 1.8. is it possible that can only be done through software
I can't seem to get this radio to accept the PMR frequencies. When I input the channel into the field say 446.00625...when I exit that field it reverts to 446.0600.. I've set the step to 12.5...Any Ideas anyone?
Having a look at this for a friend and found it won't accept a 5 digit decimal place frequency. Works absolutely fine with a 4 digit decimal frequency. Have I missed a function in the software that will enable this at all? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Do you have any ideas about the ADJUSTMENTS menu? It is some kind of an engineer menu with some useful settings, but all sellers reply as "this is not for customers, customers are stupid" and it makes me mad 😡 And I found ZERO reviews with this information...

The noise reducer is in transmission, better to exclude it for stronger and clearer modulation
