Hey I just wanted to let you know that really means a lot to me. Im just a normal girl thats wants to do better for the environment. I appreciate you and hope you stick around.
My gosh I am endlessly excited to start gardening. My tulips, garlic, chives and rhubarb are all breaking the earth. Crocuses have been the star of the show for a while now. I'm very excited to have you here.
hi 🤗 new subscriber. great haul. you can never have too many seeds 😊 i share mine too. im in southern california zone 10b/11a and plant something year-round. i went crazy during this year's annual migardener sale - 40% now, but still an awesome deal. plus i ordered even more when the last seeds went to 50% off. i miss the grab bags every year (this year too). i like onions and grow them "on purpose" in containers. i let some go to seed - before i could collect them, the flower head fell over into a 5-gallon bucket ... which is now full of onions 🤣😂 looking forward to seeing more of your videos. tfs
@@HealyMeans its lovely to hear from you. I just got my MIGardener seeds also! I hope to return to filming shortly, just dealing with some personal issues♡
Seed exchanges are great for free or surprise seeds that will not be planted by the receiver. We started our pepper seeds indoors last week in zone 7a. Last year the pepper plants were beautiful but they did not produce more than 5-6 mature peppers before the first frost took them out. This year, we started 2 months early.
You know what - I think I shall start my peppers tomorrow. I think you might be on to something. I think I also put them out just a tad too early last year so they got stunted.
Good day. I grew toothache cress last year, dried it and stored it. I haven't needed to use it yet, which is a good thing I guess, but I'm prepared!! I grew marshmallow once and I haven't had to grow it again, it comes back with a fury, like camomile and borage . They make great tea. I'm going this weekend to buy seeds from a local supplier. I do have a lot of seeds already but I still need to see if they have anything I haven't tried yet. I can't wait. Have a great day 🙏🏽👍🏽❤️
I love it! Hey I was wondering, do you think the toothache plant makes a nice dried flower for decoration purposes also? Or do you think it would not be very pretty? I'm looking to dry some flowers up this summer. I also appreciate you mentioning the marshmallow fury. I'll maybe put it in a spot where its less of an issue.
Every gardener has excessive seeds, that is totally normal, lol. I also have excessive purslane in my garden that grows wild.🤣 I actually started my chamomile and calendula seeds in November in my greenhouse and they have done well all winter. I did bring them in for a week when we had our winter storm and it was in the very low f temps.
My chamomile did so bad last year i didnt get to harvest a single flower :( . You know i think its cute we both mentioned the M.I gardener mystery seed packs in our videos and thats actually how I found you on instagram. I mention in this video i wanted to see if other people got the same seeds. Thats you :D
@@TheExperimentalHomestead right, I am amazed at how similar our climate is. It is really cool to learn that. Yes, I just discovered MIGardener last year and my favorite thing from him was the grab bag, I will more than likely purchase it again! Can't wait to garden alongside of you!😊❤️
@@TheExperimentalHomestead yes I did not get to enjoy my chamomile either, that is why I started it in November. Fingers crossed I get to enjoy it this year.🤞 I found a garden planner on Amazon that actually has every grow zone in it and tells you what to do during each month of your zone, that is where I discovered I should plant my chamomile and calendula earlier.
Pigs and our bull... I know not what you meant but growing out our own protein will be so rewarding! If I'm talking about veggies then tomatoes is a favorite of mine.@@TheExperimentalHomestead
@@TheExperimentalHomestead I've already begun. I've got over 1700 varieties of heirloom and OP tomatoes and around 10,000 varieties total in my personal seed bank.
Grew nadapeno last season and it performed well but the seeds are so bitter it ruined my chili. Just make sure you deseed before using but otherwise they were quite large and great stuffed 😊
Hello! These are going well. I am following the west coast seeds planting guide (mostly) so not much has been planted. I do have a video where i started some seeds in diy soil blocks if you wanted to see. Those seeds are very happy and healthy. I have, since then, planted 7 varieties of peppers and they have just about all germinated so far. No luck getting coffee and dragon fruit to germinate yet. Currently filming a gardening video that will have a seedling update.
A Free Seeds Library is so cute and great for the community.
Yeah! I think i might do it

I think it would be a wonderful addition to any flower arrangement. You will have to do a video on the process. 👍🏽🙏🏽❤@@TheExperimentalHomestead

wow, i wonder how much money that would all be worth after harvest, compared to a grocery store

This is really good advice! Thank you for the warning i would be so upset if i ruined my cowboy candy 🥲
