    We were given the SpringWell reverse osmosis system to test and install. It can remove thousands of harmful water contaminants, and works on both city water and well water sources.
    In this review of the SpringWell RO system, we discuss pros and cons, provide a step-by-step installation, and look at a performance test the system using an independent laboratory.

    I want to do a dual filtration system off my well. I feel like saving cost on the high end filters is important. Any ideas?

    This feels like an Ad. The fact that you have affiliate links doesn't help either.

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We weren't paid for the review and lab testing is expensive! Getting an affiliate commission at no cost to a customer seems like a fair way to cover costs and make content we think people care about. Let us know if you'd like to see something else!

    Is the tanks made of plastic?

  • @Ping_pong_lewis

    When you say flush for 24 hours at 11:10 do you mean to run it continuously for 24 hours?

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi David - Exactly. Or at least cycle it that long. Meaning, let the tank fill up and empty it. I personally think running it that long is a little overkill, but the manufacturer’s recommendations always err on the side of caution. You can see here in step 6.8 on page 9. dpw4tdh0of7va.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/RO_System_Installation_Instructions.pdf
      Hopefully that answers your question, but let me know how else I can help! 👌

    Are the filters proprietary to the Springwell system? Or will other manufactures filters fit as well?

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey There - They are proprietary because they use an enclosed design. Compared to cartridge type models were you have the filter inside of the filter housing. But the negative with cartridge types is that the inside of the housings get really gross and can harbor mold and bacteria. That's why the enclosed filter types are better.
      The RO membrane on the SpringWell can last up to 24 months and the other filter need to be replaced between 4-6 months, so your annual filter replacement is around $100. You can check it out here: bit.ly/3np17xy

    Does this system have remineralization?

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This system doesn’t include a remineralization filter but I can send you options for filters that you can add, or I can send you options of systems that include remineralization filters. There are also drops that you can add to your RO water that remineralize it. Can you email me at erik (at) freshnss .com and I will send you all the options. Also, do you have well water or city water? Let me know and I will get you all dialed in 👍

    How come the storage tank only fills up only 1 gallon of water in the 3.2 gallon tank?

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! It has a 75 gallon per day production rate, but the tank can’t fill up the whole 3 gallons because it requires pressure to operate. Although it does fill up more than one gallon at a time 👌 Do you have one of these models?

    • @beerookiechannel2002
      @beerookiechannel2002 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Freshnss yes i do have the very same unit in you video. You explained things so well i had to get one. Also your previous comment makes sense about the tank pressure. Thanks man!

      Awesome to hear 🙌 We love it so far too! And nice to save money in plastic bottles of water, I hate using those things. Especially when this RO makes the water more pure

    Awesome review and walkthrough! did you receive any compensation for this video from Springhill? Also it's a tad bit uneasy ordering the test kits through the same people that sell the system, is that truly independent third party

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey - Thank you for watching! No, we did not get paid by SpringWell to review this RO system. The test is actually through a 3rd party independent lab, but you can just buy it on the SpringWell website. The lab is Environmental Testing Laboratories.

      @@Freshnss So you are saying you do not get any kind of compensation from the affiliate link you have in the description? Your answer seems to be deceptive in the way it is worded.

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We get paid when purchases are made through affiliate links but we did not get paid explicitly for the review or for the conclusions we made. We are happy to participate in affiliate programs when we believe in the products. We have refused dozens of affiliate programs where we can't stand behind the products themselves.

    The title of this video is more than misleading. "Best" compared to what? Which other systems did you test to compare it to, and where are the comparison videos and results? I watched expecting this video expecting to learn something to enable me to specify the best system for my needs, but all I saw was a 13:40 minute advert for one system. Complete waste of my time. Your DIY skills are somewhat lacking too - twice you cut plastic pipe with a sharp knife on an unprotected surface, when you should have used a proper tube cutter to ensure square cuts, which are crucial for pushfit fittings. I've added the quote below to remind you what your channel promises. Very disappointing.
    Quote from your "about channel info":"Freshnss was founded in 2018 with the mission of providing unbiased and informative reviews of water filters, water dispensers, water coolers, water heaters, water softeners and other popular appliances."

      Hi Will - Thanks for checking out the video. It’s the best in the sense that we did a before and after lab test to verify the RO system removed all the harmful contamination issues. So it really is a data driven approach, rather than a lot of people that say it’s “the best” and have never even touched the system in real life. We also provide pros and cons as to why we believe it’s the best. If you want other options, you can check out a countertop lab test we did here:
      th-cam.com/video/2ZfQ8Cs8y3c/w-d-xo.html
      Or see our favorite RO system overall here: th-cam.com/video/7fhv3uJ1OVA/w-d-xo.html
      Regarding the installation, using a razor to trim the tubing is what the manufacturer’s instructions recommended. Thanks for the tips though!
      Have you tested your water to know specifically what you need to treat? That helps to identify an ideal system for you needs too.
