Very nice ring but some really specialist looking tools. I guess you could get quite a production line going and make a little cash selling those things on line
My dad made his and mom's wedding rings out of a US half dollar and a quarter. In his spare time he would sit at a table and hold the coin between his thumb and forefinger. Then he'd tap the edge of the coin with a common tablespoon. With each tap the coin would move very slightly. After billions of taps, the coin became smooth. He drilled out the center and then buffed it down. Inside the rim was IN GOD WE TRUST and the year they were married. Pretty cool wedding ring set for just 75¢ and several hours work. ☺️
Love the videos and uploads, blackbeard! Always a real pleasure to watch your skillfull craftsmanship, creating such cool things. Hope to see many, many more!
Beautiful! I have a bag of coins from the last trip. Now all I need is your skill, experience and equipment then off I go! lol Thanks for all your videos!
What a great little video engineering very simply showing on how it works is people like this it helps create the world we live in today solving problems and making Solutions that are straightforward and simple but I had a lot of fault going into them yeah this is what how young people should be learning to solve problems and make everyone's life a lot easier this is what engineers have done 400 years in every types of field will they operate
@Virgen Weed luckily not all women are brainwashed sheep like you, following what society and the media tells them. And what makes you worse is you are not only ignorant but arrogant too, prescribing your narrow beliefs to others like Maria. Who are you to speak for all women of the world? Did it occur to you that diamond wedding rings is only a relatively recent fad of 20th century western society?? did you know that it is all a lie and that diamonds are in fact not rare and one of the most common gemstones on the planet and not nearly as valuable as these companies like you to believe? regardless who are you to decide for others what holds value? to some a unique ring made of a coin or a piece of found wood hold infinitely more value than a common stone butchered to look like a piece of glass. you are the one who needs to wake up here...
My grandfather brought back some copper British pence' and French francs after WWI and my uncle made them into cufflinks (which I ocassionally still wear today). Super job.
I remember a high-school shop teacher had half the class do this with American quarters... but they did it with spoons and leather rather than mandrels and presses. They spent weeks making what you just did in a day?? Really nice... and 1959 is my birth year so that made it double cool.
What a great job....brilliant. I have one similar made from a two shilling piece a friend gave me and i always wondered how it was made, now I know. Fascinating, thanks.👍👍🇬🇧
Estoy asombrado por la elaboración de este anillo, con una moneda de cobre. Felicitaciones al gran artesano que hizo esto. Saludos desde Cosamaloapan, Veracruz, México
Just wanted to say thanks. I was making coin rings and some how I stumbled on to your wallet video. Thank you I'm now playing with leather. Lol I too also made that same ring.
Sei una persona rara, da salvaguardare. Hai delle idee sopraffine. Mi piacerebbe farti restaurare alcune cose che ho in casa. Dietro compenso ovviamente.Complimenti.
Nice job. I’ve got tons of cool collectors coins and I wish I could make a ring out of a select few, but I don’t know anyone or anywhere that has the right equipment.
Can you get the tools you need for this at any hardware store? Really cool! Something I have to do as soon as possible...great video! It has made me a subscriber, thank you!
If you are familiar with plumbing, copper olives used on compression joints, DIY hack cut a slit on the copper olive smooth out rough edges with file and you get a toe ring on the cheap.

Description says 1951, but halfpenny clearly says 1959. No biggie, though. They make nice rings. good job.
Very nice ring but some really specialist looking tools. I guess you could get quite a production line going and make a little cash selling those things on line
you must send this ring to Jill Halfpenny xD

Love this one. I’d never considered how to make a ring and from a coin and to keep all the detail from the coin! Brilliantly
