I think people don’t really like to acknowledge Wendy because she doesn’t do powerhouse belts despite being 100% capable of it, she’s the best of her generation and one of the best in kpop and overall. Her technical skill is very well developed.
I feel like because she sings in a healthy way so that it will not strain her voice. You will know when a singer push their vocals, the notes sounds forced. But her way is to sing effortlessly, thats why she sounds so heavenly.

Exactly! She is the best or at least one of the best in her Generation and I hate how people don't acknowledge her at all and even though she doesn't really belt her notes she can keep her high notes going for like 10+ Seconds which is Insane, her Voice overall is just Phenomenal and people should pay a lot more attention to her and her skills!
Finally!!! You have reacted to WENDY!! For me, she is the best female vocalist in KPOP. She is a hidden gem in kpop. Everybody loves her, especially the song writers, lyricist, producers, and directors. I am so glad that SM finally gave her the chance to flex her vocals and talent. The first time I heard her voice was about 2 years ago, it made me a hard stan. You can clearly hear how rich, pure, and good her voice is. Everyday, she gets better and better. Even after the accident last 2019, she continues to practice for her vocals to improve. She loves singing so much. During her pre-debut, she joins musical theatre and other singing activities in her school in canada & not to mention how proud her musical teacher is right now by showing Wendy’s MV to his whole class. She doesn’t only sing, but she delivers the message and emotions really well. Her voice is very clear. She is now dubbed by SM as “Goddess of Vocal Tone” in which we all agree. I am pretty sure that she will get BIGGER globally. I’m praying that for her cause she deserves it. You can give her any genre and she will turn it into masterpiece. It’s not even an exaggeration. Apart from his undeniable talent, her heart and personality are also as good as her vocals. Please support her. She deserves it. You’ll never regret.

Wendy's technique is in a class of it's own. She can sound like 8 different people and sometimes on the same track. If you listen to Red Velvet and you don't know who is singing it is likely Wendy 🤣🤣🤣

Wendy is from heaven. She was an awesome vocalist even before SM. Very short training before debuting in Red Velvet. She even sang an OST while being a rookie. We are just happy to have her back after the terrible accident.

Yesss thank u Christina and Ed. As a vocalist Wendy is a problem. She has a 4 octave range for 1 note which is very impressive and she can do this without losing vocal control. She is by far one of THE best vocalist there is. Sm is very fortunate to have her.
Btw Christina and Ed fun fact: Wendy originally audition for YG and YG turned her away, but SM scoped her up

yeah a lot of people know that wendy is an AMAZING vocalist and shes one of if not THE best vocalist of her generation not just because of her range but because of her technique, but the thing is ... although SM has a lot of amazing vocalists, they don't do a good job at promoting them esp the main vocalists. a lot of people know about wendy's talent but at the same time, a lot of people don't.
SM is the Motown of Korea. Their artists can do it all and sound freaking phenomenal while doing it. You only hear those vocals, but Wendy is also a beast performer. Her dancing is much better than she's credited for. I hope her next comeback she gets to show off her vocals and performance skills.

OH MY GOD YES! I clicked so fast when I saw the notification, this was just Phenomenal I can not stop listening to this you should definitely check out the whole Album it is just Vocals on Vocals! She did such an Amazing Job she sounds and looks like a mixture between a Siren and an Angel just Wow (and I don't know why but this kind of reminds me of Splash the Movie!) I am pretty sure that this was made for her Fans saying Thank you for believing in me and my love for you guys is like my love for Water because I couldn't of done it without you, I am pretty sure it's like that but I'm not exactly sure! i remember watching a video where someone was talking to an ex SM audition judge and he was saying that they definitely look for vocals over everything. he said something along the lines of “anyone can learn how to dance but not everyone can learn to expand their vocal range” but take that as you will lol no one can deny SM allllllwayssss comes thru w the vocals 🥵
