I've been a live camera operator (and often 1st AC for film) for 10 years now and have recently been training with your old school Steadicam Video SK II my friend let me rent. Unfortunately, been out of work since March due to COVID-19 and my friend with the steadicam moved far away, so I have been studying to learn how to become a 1st AC then operator for steadicam and these videos are a godsend- thank you very much for making them! I work at the only independent music show in washington state that has been approved by the governor and mayor, "Northwest Talent Spotlight". Tiffen products are often used in our studio but I can't yet afford to purchase a modern steadicam system that can handle cameras as heavy as 20lbs.- so our only movement in the studio comes from a small crane. I'm delivering food and applying to work places all the time so I can one day afford this beast of a system! Honestly mind blowing to see how much thought went into the making of the product and the video itself. Cheers!
AH, manual control 🙂, nice to see someone showing how to get the 'mojo' back; the Steadicam should be about human skills, not having to rely on 'auto-pilot' all the time.
