The 'secret' ingredient to a successful retirement is investing in your future. Invest in your education and projects and/or property. Buy don't rent. Get into a good paying career. You want to be a poor pensioner then become a nurse and rent your house.
Spoiler alert: secret ingredient is FLEXIBILITY. 1) Focus less on being exactly right today and more on being less wrong tomorrow. 2) Build flexibility into the details. (Would you rather *have* to do something or *get* to do something?)
