I have a question. What make you want to make videos for highway safety?

You would. A “good” rating means a low probability of serious injury. Further looking into the actual scoring criteria finds not only an overall “good” rating, but a “good” rating in every scoring criteria. This means you would likely be able to walk away from this exact collision with no more than minor bumps and scrapes.

The thing with crash tests is that they are done in controlled environments and serve as great benchmarks for the durability of vehicles but realistically in the real world a lot more things play into account so I would take it with a grain of salt even if the car scored the highest in crash tests.

if you look, you'll see that it stopped by the A pillar, so there was minimal crushing of the occupant area, and the air bags seemed to do their job preventing much of the head bouncing around so id bet money the person had next to no damage.
the car is completely obliterated though, going to need to sweep up the dust that used to be like half the parts lmao. but youd be completely fine to collect the insurance check out of that

@@pandaland1 that is true, but these tests are designed to replicate the real world and the IIHS responds to new data about crashes in the real world. That's why this test exists, IIHS noticed that lots of people were getting hurt in crashes where only 1/4th of the car was impacting the thing.
