I love scrapping electronic boxes like that but I'm a hobby scrapper so I can see why it's basically, grab the transformer, cut the cord, get the brass out of the plug, grab the insolated wire, throw the rest in shred. Now if you had a big and ongoing account with board sort...but they are in the US so that's an issue.
Agreed. Depends on whether the item is working or could be made to work. Some hobbyists go through and test and replace all broken components and restore the thing. For me, I'm a hobby scrapper so I try to find the broken stuff that's beyond repair. Fortunately I have a friend who supplies me with such broken units when he can't repair them.
I would too because I'm a hobby scrapper. I may do a similar video except microscrapping stuff. I understand totally why it doesn't make sense to microscrap for a business.
