I see what you mean. The main point of the drill is angling and being angled (fighting through someone squeezing you on the boards). But I think it's more interesting to let the defender become the offensive player as a reward for properly angling. Then the puck carrier has to fight to regain a defensive position if he/she loses it. If you're not a fan of that variation, just let the drill be over if the defender stops the attack. Either way is great 👍
@ right on! I tried it with my 10 U team. It was a decent drill for them however there was a wide range of ability as far as stopping and starting so it was hard to get the timing in order to have a good angling.
Thanks Jeremy, I am going to try this one out next week with my mites, fills in perfectly for where we are progressing this season
I completely agree with you when you say angling should be taught early.
So even though we have a defensive and an offensive line, whoever wins, the race is on offense? Doesn’t that change the tactic a bit?

Jeremy love the stuff you do, where did you get your app your using?
On the stop and go part, are they completely stopping and going in unison or is it a complete start to finish drill (like a race).
I usually run it like a race. But you could ask for it to be done in unison if your players need it that way.
Hi mate what software are you using to draw these drills?
