I absolutely loved Fern's outfit in this episode because it was so beautiful. This is such a beautiful anime series complete with stunning animation and visuals.
Aside from the progression of Fern and Stark's relationship, which I adore, the dancing animation was stunning. It was so smooth and real life-like. I can't believe they manage to draw it so perfectly without the use of motion-capture or CGI. Actually, this show tends to animate a lot of trivial moments expertly. Like Frieren hopping back a few steps to pat Sein's head, or even Stark putting on his jacket and Fern throwing hers away (in episode 9), both with natural bodily movements and their clothing moving like actual fabric would. I'm quite appreciative of the level of attention to detail in this show in general. As it doesn't mind slowing down the pace, spending time not just on plot-related character moments but emphasizing life itself/the environment around them. Almost letting viewers acknowledge the small things along the way, that wouldn't particularly matter in a conventional story. For both writers and animators this is truly all about the journey.

yeah, on episode 4 aisen and heiter were talking about how they were sorry for frieren and how she should find heaven and talk with himmel again. i bet she has realized a lot of things after his death and it will be emotional
Stark & Fern really looked good at the dance. Honestly Stark is so clueless that I didn't even take it seriously when he got one knee, but Fern's reaction was interesting. I guess with them it's the reverse of Himmel & Frieren in terms of who's clueless, so until Stark wises up our ship might be on hold.
My theory about the order they fall asleep in is this: the curse affects people with less mana first, with Sein remaining unaffected (even though he obviously has less mana than Frieren) because he has such a strong Blessing of the Goddess.
Not gonna lie, that dancing scene actually made me squee a bit the first time I watched it. In the manga it's just a short little scene, but here the animators really took the time to show it off in all its glory and it was SO CUTE.

[10:05] I always imagined it could be possible that Starks father wasn't quite as bad as Stark remembered him. Not a good father by any stretch of imagination, but also not nearly as bad as it looks from that one flashback we got. I don't really have any evidence for this but it wouldn't be the first time Stark misjudged the situation. He also didn't understand the meaning of Eisen's Hamburg steak birthday gifts (though - admittedly - that's probably mostly Eisen's fault for being rather obscure about it) and well... it would fit right in with his general tendency of self-doubt. When you're already insecure, it's very easy to misread every word that's said as a slight towards you. Though I suppose the question then is: is Starks perception of his father an effect of his own insecurities or are his insecurities caused by the way his father treated him (or maybe both amplified each other)?

シュタルクとフェレンが 舞踏会で ワルツを踊るシーンは わざと CG を使わず 古い方法の セル画に 人の 手で 書き込む方法で 温かみを出しました、また 劇中で流れる曲も この数分のシーン の ためだけに わざわざワルツの曲を 作曲したようです 🤗 このアニメを作る側の 情熱と熱意 が 伝わってきますね😂❤
