It is wrong to consider sanskrit as a monopoly of Brahmins (with the notion decrying sanskrit is the only way) so much so to associate Tamil only with the Dravidian movement. Tamil Scholar U. Ve. Sa, U. Ve. Swaminathaiyyar was by birth a Brahmin, he was instrumental in bringing most of the bygone era Tamil literature. But for his efforts, we would not have got so many epics in Tamil today. Interestingly he was a student of Mahavidwan Meenakshi Sundaram Pillai. He literally had to prove his credibility to learn from him. It is said that U. Ve. Sa retorted to his grandfather that he wishes to learn Tamil so that it will make him realise his dreams in this world and the other world. The mystery of divinity eludes the machinery of speech and symbol. Let us grow beyond all this caste politics and teach our children to learn good in which ever language.

Mr.J.S.Parthasarathi, while Pazha Karuppiah's comments may not be agreeable to you, why would you only call him as a crooked minded fellow when some of your fellow brahmins are continuing their tirade against non-brahmin Tamils and passing racist comments. Look, I agree that no caste should be targeted but it applies to every one. Brahmins are targeted because of the varnasrama (a)dharma of which they were the proponents. I agree it is wrong to target them now for what their ancestors did. But then brahmins should also stop talking low of other caste people who are still suffering due to varnasrama (a)dharma.

For your information, the Dravida was first used by Adi Sankara to represent his native place as like "I come from a place called Dravida". It does not mean a race, it is just a geographical location where 3 seas meat, that is all.
