Baker does a great job showing how to install this trans. Better to spend the money on the tools and learn your bike than to pay someone . My trans works ok , as of now but if it ever breaks I'll be installing a Baker 6
At approximately 3:25 of this video, Bert talks about modifying the shifter pawl. We at BAKER just want to make it known that this mod is related to the stock shifter lever and the use of BAKER 5-6QSN & 5-6QLN shift drums. We now provide a shift drum BAKER PN 124-0D6 that requires no shimming and works with BAKER shifter pawl 555-56L which we include in kits and on all BAKER complete builder's kits. Just bought and installed Baker od6 in my 2003 fxdl, great product, works great.
I'm not installing one of these but if I was this video is a great resource great job !
I have a 2012 v rod ,is there a 6 speed that will fit it? @ who cares to help ,please.
